WOW... 92 yo RN still working occasional double. Definitely deserves to be nominated for a longevity award.
Following are places you can submit her for nomination:
a. Constituent and State Nurses Associations look at your states award criteria
b. ANA Nurse Recognition >NationalAwards
c. Nurse.com Excellence Awards
d. Geriatrics Recognition Award (GRA) - American Geriatrics Society
e. Ask congressperson (office covers her home town or worksite location) for proclamation honoring your aunt
Best wishes with this endeavor. Please encourage her to join our website and share her stories too
This is awesome!! What a lady!!! Pulling double shifts at 92?! This tells me I will have no excuse once I become a nurse. It may have to do a lot with where she works also. People are more prone to stay with a company if they love what they do and they are recognized for what they do!! Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I'm more than excited to continue this journey.:-)

My Great Aunt has been a nurse since she was in her twenties and now she is 92 years old. She is still working as an Rn at a nursing facility, full time and still does double shifts. She takes care of people who are by far younger than her. I am looking for a way this woman can get recognized for all she has done for so many people, for so many years. My family and i agree that she will never stop working, she loves what she does and will never quit. Please can someone help me, I would love for her to have the recognition she deserves. Thank you...
