Hi All!
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for perking up my tired, aching feet? A pedicure sure is nice...if only I had the time/$$ to do it every week :)
I am prepared to try any and all suggestions!!
Thanks!

Just the hubbie of a new nurse, but I made sure she bought good shoes (she really likes the Danskos, just goes to show you). Also, I got her a bunch of support socks from http://www.ameswalker.com/ .
I did the above before she started her clinicals, due to the all the helpful advice on this site...so thanks everyone.

That's so sweet! Sounds like something my husband would do!

Who would of thought you had to drag a woman out to buy shoes?

there are so many different shoes-- don't get discouraged. try a lot of them until you find what works for you. me, i love danskos and birkenstocks, in rotation. and though the birks are pricey, when the soles and footbeds wear out you can get them replaced for a lot less than the cost of a new pair. try that with any other shoes!

The Skecher's Shape-ups are great too...they take the pressure off your heels. They are the only shoes I can wear.

my feet never seem to get tired in a well broked in pair of danskos. (though the break in period can be a bit rough...)
So how long does it take to break them in? I have had for several months, but can only wear 4hrs at a time, then my feet just hurt and I have to change them. I really like them though and would like to wear them.

hot sudsy water...it kills the pain on contact and lasts at least half an hour (soak feet in it, don't drink it!)

New nurse here. Can anyone recommend a good pair of shoes?
I have very bad feet. Always have. They hurt in almost anything.
When I got my first job, getting a pair of shoes that helped my feet was a priority. I have a pair of Rockers by Cherokee, the man's version. Never had a problem with painful feet.
