Another major variable that affects someone's pay rate is location. For example, an RN in San Francisco could be earning more than $40 hourly while the RN in rural South Carolina could be earning less than $18 per hour. High cost-of-living locations tend to pay healthcare workers more than the rural and low cost-of-living regions.

I work for the school system. I won't tell you what county,but I'm in maryland. I make more than most CNAs however, some of my friends who are CNAs are known to make 18-22 an hour. It all depends on where you work. I'm truly blessed to make so much after being a CNA for only 2 years. plan on becoming an LPN then RN, so I know my salary will increase, as I further my education.

CNA/RN/LPN/PA/APN/fulltime/parttime/casual whatever your profession is, just state it and share :)
