Mount Sinai ABSN Summer 2020

Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for the ABSN program starting Summer 2020?

Hi everyone ! I got accepted to PSON ABSN program as well.

I did get interviewed (April 15). I received an e-mail today (April 20). I think they interviewed me because I do not have medical work experience. I worked in the law enforcement field.

Was accepted without an interview. I am a career changer, no healthcare experience.Have a 3.4 cuMulative.

I feel so confused. I applied in December. I have not heard back from them though. I know that my application is verified. My GPA is 3.5 and prereq GPA is 4.0. I also have a bit of health care experience (volunteered at a hospital). I'm assuming I've been rejected since I literally have not heard anything back- not even email responses to my constant emails. Has anyone else not heard back yet??

Did you apply for Summer or fall ?

Fall

(thats my only hope).. but I've seen that many people found out who applied for fall way after me

It seems like spots are filling up quickly! Does anyone know how long it took for their application to be verified on NursingCAS? How many spots are available for Fall since they are combining Summer and Fall Cohorts?

OK I think you're still good ! I actually asked the 4 interviewers I had if they were going to merge Summer and Fall and they responded that they are first reviewing the Summer applicants and then they will review the Fall applicants. So from my understanding, you just need to wait a bit longer. Thats probably why you have not been receiving e-mails yet. Plus the Application deadline for FALL 2020 has been extended to May 30th

Hey everyone, I just got my acceptance as well. Very exciting! I interviewed on Friday, and heard back today.

A little about my background - I have experience in healthcare, worked as a medical assistant for a neurology practice, and for the past 4 years as a coordinator in case management for nursing home care. It seems these interviews are very random. However, I am not thrilled about the neighborhood with this new school so will likely need to respectfully decline their offer, although their clinical sites I hear are amazing since it is a teaching hospital, I imagine that will definitely be a plus side to getting an education there. CONGRATS to everyone else who has been accepted!! I guess in this circumstance it is best not to be deterred by the negative reviews you read and follow your gut on what is best. Your path. Your life ?

Thanks! Yes I had an interview last Thursday. I applied last year but my application was completed just before the Feb 1 deadline. No insight into why I had to interview.
