Published Oct 25, 2019
Hi all,
Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for the ABSN program starting Summer 2020?
Thanks!

Hi did anyone got accepted for the Summer cohort and if so did you had to take any ethics class. That's the only class I'm missing. I'm also wondering if you don't get accepted for the Summer cohort do they consider your application for the fall. I'm only missing an ethic class. I see that they push the application dateline for the Summer class until March 15.

Generally you’re allowed to have a course or 2 pending. You can be conditionally accepted as long as you pass the remaining course(s) with the marks per policy. Check out portgage learning online. That is where I took my ethics course. It's affordable, self paced and transferred with no issues. I was accepted while completing the course. If nothing has changed since last cycle, you should be fine.

Financial aid is limited to those with dire need or the top 5-10ish% of the class.
As a covid grad the hybrid/ then totally online structure was very challenging (I hope this is different for you). You will be doing a very large amount of self teaching. If you have the discipline and ability to study for hours at a time (possibly with limited library access due to restrictions) its doable. Study groups are vital but with minimal meeting in person as often (for social building) that component may be lost.
Overall it can be done but you must be prepared to do a lot of this on your own.
