Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for the ABSN program starting Summer 2020?

I just got an e-mail from them that all the seats have been filled up and all the applications will be moved to the next cycle. They haven't even reviewed mine. Such a waste of time! I e-mailed PSON in May before submitting my application asking if I should submit my application so close to the deadline and they said they had plenty of seats open. So frustrated with this school! I have no words.

That is horrible @Bachelor so sorry. - is the next cycle for Fall 2020 or the following Summer?

I got accepted to another school but PSON is more affordable so I decided to give it a try.Wish I hadn't.

really? this is not good. I retook A& P and Chem 1 just to get into this program because they told me I had the opportunity to get in. If they didn't take me now this means I have to take all the other courses again! A&P2 and micro this is not good.

Anyone has been sent their financial aid package yet? The financial aid officer has been ignoring my emails.

Clinicals were actually pretty good - the placements were generally good except for a few groups who had to switch mid semester bc they were not learning anything.

The teachers read the slides - and don't add anything, its literally a babysitting service. They don't help you study or give any guidance for exams - its a complete **** show. We beg for assistance and get email replies of one word, 2 weeks too late. They also grade exams and don't allow us to review them, and once accidentally opened it to students and we saw that several questions were marked wrongly - so we don't trust them grading our exams at all.

Some of them are so so difficult to deal with and don't even speak English! I am NOT exaggerating - speak to anyone in the cohort! Only 4 out of 110 students attended the white coat ceremony bc they scheduled it the day before two HUGE exams and refused to change it.

During this pandemic, they have been so unaccommodating and unhelpful. The Dean refuses to talk to students over the phone to discuss issues.

I can keep going for hours, this has been an absolute scam, waste of money, and waste of emotional health. I am looking forward to leaving already!

This is good insight however it does worry me. I want to attend a school where I will be supported by the professors and school staff. I really dislike when professor just read off the slide without interacting with the students as well as not being able to see what mistakes I got wrong on test.

Do you think the pandemic was a contributing factor of this or was this how the program was prior to the pandemic?

Did you apply to any other programs? if so, what made you choose this school over the others. I'm just curious because what you have listed above could be a deterring factor for me NOT to consider this program.

I know this is a forum for Fall 2020 applicants for Mount Sinai's ABSN Program. I applied recently for the Summer 2021 start but can't seem to find any information about when we should be hearing back. Anyone else apply for the Summer 2021 start?

Hi Everyone! I was just accepted to the Summer 2021 cohort. I'm curious about what everyone's current feelings are about the program as well as how good the school has been with financial aid. Is the hybrid model working well?
