Mount Sinai ABSN Summer 2020

Hi all,

Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for the ABSN program starting Summer 2020?

For those who where asking before I'm taking pharma in portage and I checked with the school and they said they accept it. The transcript has to be in before July 1st they won't accept it after that which means the class has to be done before July 1st not on July 1st. Portage learning takes 14days to send transcript and this is only done before the teacher submits the grade which they only work mon-Friday so no test are graded over the weekend. If your looking to take a class now I would suggest taking one. I started with pharma and patho but for me it seemed like a lot to finish in 1-2 months. Everyone is different but I wanted to actually learn the material and not just rush through it with a passing grade.

It was okay. I was nervous about the whole thing. I felt like it was more of a job interview questions which I wasn't expecting.

Tell me about yourself? Why do you want to pursue this field? Tell me something, professional or personal, that you prevented and how did you do it? Is there a reason that someone would complain about you at work and why? The last two aren't verbatim but it similar to what I can remember.

They ask different questions for each candidate. I read someone else on here was asked questions that I didn't have.

Take a deep breath, go over common job interview questions (I felt like the questions that they asked me were more job-related) and try to answer all the questions they have the best that you can.

Just confirmed that they accept pharmocology and pathophysiology from portage!

I had my interview on the 15th and just found out today I have been accepted. I am so happy.

Hey sure,

Why did you choose this school? Why nursing? Tell us a time you were successful? Tell us a time you made a mistake? Do you plan on working during the program? There was a lot of competency questions. Interview took 30 mins or longer because they said " oh, we have to go!" And ended abruptly. I was only able to ask them one question. I hope this helped.

It def did thank you ! I have one scheduled in 2 weeks I'm sooooo nervous but the school is my top choice . Is there a FB group open yet ? Who was doing the interviewing

School was my first choice too. There is a facebook group and someone posted the link. I think you will do great and I wish you so much luck.
