Mount Sinai ABSN Summer 2020

Published

Hi all,

Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for the ABSN program starting Summer 2020?

Thanks!

I was thinking the same thing.. Those who were accepted with and without an interview, do you mind sharing your stats?

hi! I applied for the fall semester and was accepted without an interview. My undergrad cumulative GPA is 3.4 and my prereq GPA is 3.8. I've worked as an ophthalmology technician for the last two years, volunteered at Elmhurst for a little over a year (before covid), and volunteer with the elderly since last Summer ?

I feel so confused. I applied in December. I have not heard back from them though. I know that my application is verified. My GPA is 3.5 and prereq GPA is 4.0. I also have a bit of health care experience (volunteered at a hospital). I'm assuming I've been rejected since I literally have not heard anything back- not even email responses to my constant emails. Has anyone else not heard back yet??

Email the admissions person...

I have numerous times! First reached out to Mrs. Gallo but she no longer works there. Now I've been emailing [email protected]. Is there someone else you have been emailing directly?

I’m, already a student at PSON... Try emailing Tuan Le at [email protected]

He might be able to help. Good luck!

Congratulations?????????????

Thank you! And I saw that we have until July 31st now to transfer pre/coreqs. That should be helpful to complete either patho or pharm before then, right?!

Where are you planning to take pharmacology and path? I think you should be able to get it done , July is a while away and especially with being quarantined LOL more time to stay home and study LOL

I wonder if classes will continue to be online or on campus due to covid

I am going to look into Portage online for pharm and path like others have suggested here. I have 2 little kids though so getting work done during quarantine might be an interesting journey haha!

CONGRATS to everyone that got accepted! I got into Wagner and BI. I wanted both but didn’t think I’d make both. LOL . Not that I’m complaining by any means, it’s an honor! I honestly want Mt. Sinai more because it is cheaper and the clinicals are better BUT the commute is a HUGE deterrent for me. Would be close to 2 hours each way, and that area is a bit shady. I’m curious if everyone is accepting a seat or deterred by the new location at all?

CONGRATS again everyone! We’ve all worked very hard to make it here! ?

Why do everyone keep saying the area is shady? Is it because its in Harlem? I can't imagine a school going some place terrible to put their students in danger.
