About this time two years ago I shared the adventure that was moving my mom from her home into a memory care facility. Last night at around 10pm she passed away. Still not quite sure how I feel today. We were not close and she did a lot of terrible things to us kids but she did raise 6 children none of whom went to prison so I guess that's something.Hppy
I'm sorry for your loss. You were not close, yet she was your mom. Grief, regrets, might-have-beens, relief, loss - it will take time to get through it.
May you find peace & comfort.
I'm sorry for your loss, Hppy.
I get it, in a way ... my mom is facing the end of her fight with breast cancer and we've had a difficult relationship, at best. Child hood was not a fun time. I'm not sure how I'll feel at the end.
She's still your mom ... those what if's mixed with grief and memory -- (((gentle))) hugs. Not being close at the end doesn't make it hurt any less. Be gentle with yourself.
