I've been working a new job, one that I am not sure I will fit in with. It's a night job during Pacific time, so I miss most of the good threads until I wake up the next night. By then, they're over, deleted, or it's just irrelevant for me to post at that point.
I'm also working on my BSN, so that's taking away a lot of my AN time.
I miss you guys.
So, what are the best things I've missed this week?
Maybe we should start a poster's choice thread, kind of like ixchels "What I Learned This Week," of the most interesting top five threads of the week.
We could call it "The Most Awesome Threads You Missed," or "Where Were You When...," "How Did You Miss THAT?," or even "The Weekly Review" (boring, but apt).
What do you think?
I will take your word on that...too often I've not heeded such a warning and I've regretted it.
The full quote is 1000% true here:
"When ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise."
Those of us who were unfortunate enough to be exposed to the weirdness might possibly need extensive therapy *whimpers* 😱

Not just that thread though. I may have decided not to move to Galveston after all, just to reduce my risk of unknowingly running in to THAT.
There's a thread about how entertaining it is to watch people die, or, as Don Henley sang, "It's interesting when people die..."
That was the weirdest thread I've ever read. Who the heck would post about having a fascination with death??? Serial killer mentality much??? Stay away. Stay far away. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

The scariest part is the cartoony avatar which I see right now in another thread under yet another name... Coincidence?
I feel like I missed something...I think I"m okay with that?
Don't look, because if you do you'll feel compelled to respond. Only you won't be able to respond, because it's locked. This will make you feel like punching your computer, and then you'll be out all that money to either repair it or get a new one. Then, once it's either repaired or replaced, there will be that thread...taunting you, and locked. And then you'll feel like punching your repaired/new computer again. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I hope you didn't break your computer. But that is a very descriptive reaction.

Actually, when I had a Dell inspiron cr@ptop, I did punch it. Immediately, I got the "Blue Screen of Death." Fortunately, it wasn't my main laptop; I had a MacBook Pro. I gave the Dell cr@ptop to my Dad, who got it functioning again. He asked me what happened, and I said "One minute it was working and then all of a sudden, 'BAM!,' I got the "Death Screen."
It wasn't a lie, I just left out a few details.

Okay, I just laughed out loud. Was it a disturbing thread on AN that led you to terminate your laptop?

Oh, no...it wasn't here. The cr@ptop was acting up; at the time there was a part that was defective, and Dell was even aware of it. I Googled the problem and came up with pages of websites devoted to the problem. Anyway, I got so frustrated that I punched it.
I'm normally not a violent person. If I was at home and something made me mad, I'd go play the piano and pick out a piece of music that required a lot of forte chords. Unfortunately, I was so mad I didn't make it to the piano in time.

Bwahahaha that's awesome.
This made me laugh, on a Monday sorely lacking in smiles. Thank you!!

Once you see it, it cannot be seen. Ignorance is indeed bliss, in this case.
