Hello,
I've been searching through the message boards and I just can't find much information on people who go/have gone to the nursing program at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. I was wondering...what was your entering GPA? What was your NET score? How did you like it? What hospitals did the school use for classes? Do you feel like you got a good education there?
Thanks so much!
Sarah
Hi, everyone
I just wanted to see if anybody knows anything about Speech at Midwestern? somehow I was able to bypass it at my other universities, Is it difficult here? Should I wait and take it in the summer?
Also far as pharmacology is concerned, thinking about taking pretty ladies advice and taking it elsewhere, Does anybody know if Vernon College in Wichita Falls offers it and if it is transfersable, sorry don't know how to spell that...;-)
Hi everyone. I just submitted my application. But I am confused with the WTNEC application. I filled it out but it never asked me for my payment??? How do I make a payment? And it also has a residency form under the status box... do I need to do that too? When I did the application I filled out all the required parts. Can someone tell me how they did their application?
Well I had to pay 50 dollars for Midwestern when I applied in september. The pay option should be on the upper right hand side under one of those options...I can no longer get back into my WTNEC account so Im not 100% on that, but as long as you check each of those options then you will find it. I had to fill out the Texas residency form and send it to MSU...so print it, fill it out and send it to your desired school. I hope this helps, anymor questions just ask us! Good Luck!
Hi everyone! For those of yall who were accepted - did you have all of the classes completed? I have everything except one of the 2 humanities classes, the computer class, and the economincs class. Did you have all those completed??? I thought I had about 61 points but then I recalculated and had 57 points. So now I am worried I won't get in. I also have over 165 hours and I am worried some of my classes my get over looked. Anyone have any insight. How many points did you have?
You will be fine, I applied with i think 60 or 61 points, I had finished all the pre reqs, I finished my humanities before I came, when i applied I didnt have economics or computer class completed. Im in computer now and taking economics next semester. You will be fine though, those courses are not required for you to get into the program.
You should be hearing somethin like around April, i think they accept between 80-100, they always take in more people just incase some people dont attend MSU...at least thats what the advisor (Cathrine Rudy) told me last April before I applied for Spr 2010. As long as your pre reqs are good grades like around a B or A then you shouldnt worry you will have very GOOD chances getting in! :)
LOL its gonna come around before you know it...next thing you know you will be taking your letter out of the mailbox. I think quite a bit of people apply, but Im not so sure about the numbers on that, Cathrine would be able to answer that question for you. Yea Im almost done with my first semester of Nursing school..YAY!! lol Your doin the right thing by asking questions because I was constantly asking questions on here, I actually met one of my good friends in the nursing program through here...its a very good resource!

I got accepted into Midwesterns program in November but I chose TWU over MWSU. If this is of any help to any of u guys at MWSU, my sister has a house in Wichita really close to the school..she is renting it out to my cousin who will be attending school there this semester but it's a two bedroom, so if anyone is interested in the second bedroom...shoot me an e-mail to [email protected] or just contact me on here. I will let my sister know and will ask her any questions ya'll have regarding rent.
