Hello future nursing student friends! I've applied to MHCC, PCC, OHSU, CCC and Columbia Gorge in the Dalles. I wanted to start a thread to help ease some anxiety! What are everyone's stats? Where did you apply? What is your GPA? Do you hav work experience>? Did you do any preinterview point calculations? Where would you like to go?
I already answered my first question. My GPA is 3.84 and I have over 5 years experience as a medical assistant. According to my calculations at MHCC I will have 62 points, PCC 59, CCC 50, OHSU unknown, Columbia Gorge 53 (I think). I'd love to go to MHCC because it is close to my house but really any school will do. I'm hopful to get in this year, but it is my first year applying so fingers crossed. I'd love to hear from everyone else who is applying.

@futurenurse503, I only applied with 3/4 of my pre reqs....and I'm in my last anatomy class right now, and then just have spring term for micro and the rest of my social and A + L classes coming up and then done until I get accepted to nursing school.
I also applied to those 3, keep us posted
Best of luck !
I already got bad news I sent my apps to CGCC and MHCC by mail from Camas on the 9th. I figured 6 days would be enough time to get there (found out about those schools later and already turned in other apps) I got an email on the 26th from MHCC saying they'd just received my app THAT day! And there's no possible way to have it processed. I called CGCC and they said they got my app in time, which is so weird considering The Dalles is 70 miles from me and MHCC is only 20 miles. I'm so mad at myself for not just driving to Gresham myself and I'm REALLY mad at USPS for messing this up. It's just one less opportunity which absolutely sucks.
Anyway! Super anxious to hear back and I don't think I'll be able to relax until we find out haha
Hey all. I applied to PCC last year and got accepted but unfortunately my husband and I made a move to eastern Oregon and I didn't think the timing was quite right so declined. I'm crossing my fingers I get in again this year. I have all prerequisites done, a bachelor's degree, and a 4.0 GPA. I don't have any medical experience except for working 400 + hours in a medical facility (assisted living home). I'm also waiting to see if I get an interview for OHSU in La Grande. Already wait-listed for OHSU ABSN in Portland which was a bummer!
Hello roseygibbs4,
I will be applying to PCC in 2019 along with many other schools. I calculated my points (if the application is some-what the same) and will also have 59/70 points. I'm trying to plan ahead and am very curious about your application. If you can keep me updated, I would really appreciate it! Best of luck to you. :)
