MHCC/PCC Fall 2018/Winter 2019

Published

Hello future nursing student friends! I've applied to MHCC, PCC, OHSU, CCC and Columbia Gorge in the Dalles. I wanted to start a thread to help ease some anxiety! What are everyone's stats? Where did you apply? What is your GPA? Do you hav work experience>? Did you do any preinterview point calculations? Where would you like to go?

I already answered my first question. My GPA is 3.84 and I have over 5 years experience as a medical assistant. According to my calculations at MHCC I will have 62 points, PCC 59, CCC 50, OHSU unknown, Columbia Gorge 53 (I think). I'd love to go to MHCC because it is close to my house but really any school will do. I'm hopful to get in this year, but it is my first year applying so fingers crossed. I'd love to hear from everyone else who is applying.

Hey PCC alternates and accepted students! How many of you declined your acceptance or alternate spot? Just curious cause I am getting so anxious!

What the heck do you wear to orientation anyway? Is there any sort of dress code? I wouldn't think so but just checking.

I don't think you have to wear anything fancy! I would probably dress nicely at least.

How many accepted students do you think were at PCC's orientation today? Considering they only take 32 in the program...It looked like about 50 people total were there today, including alternates and accepted

Yeah it seemed like there were at least 50 if not 60+ there. I honestly felt kind of discouraged after they said there would only be 32 spots, especially since the website makes it seem like 80.

Anyone that was accepted to MHCC Winter term should find our cohort on Facebook! I just found that someone made a page for us :) I think the name of it was MHCC Winter 2019
