Hello future nursing student friends! I've applied to MHCC, PCC, OHSU, CCC and Columbia Gorge in the Dalles. I wanted to start a thread to help ease some anxiety! What are everyone's stats? Where did you apply? What is your GPA? Do you hav work experience>? Did you do any preinterview point calculations? Where would you like to go?
I already answered my first question. My GPA is 3.84 and I have over 5 years experience as a medical assistant. According to my calculations at MHCC I will have 62 points, PCC 59, CCC 50, OHSU unknown, Columbia Gorge 53 (I think). I'd love to go to MHCC because it is close to my house but really any school will do. I'm hopful to get in this year, but it is my first year applying so fingers crossed. I'd love to hear from everyone else who is applying.
Received notification that I'm an alternate so hopefully some of you were accepted!
Hey Rosey, you got in to MHCC right? I am guessing you'll have your pick of a program since PCC will most likely go through a lot of their alternate list. I got in at PCC :)
I as well am an alternate at PCC... Fingers crossed
I'm right there with ya and hoping all the rumors are true about PCC going through their alternate list.
I emailed them and thought it might help others to share their response-
"We will accept applicants from the alternate pool up until August 10, 2018. We will not be calling any alternates until after June 15th. We do not tell applicants where they are in the alternate pool but we do go by scores, including the essay score. We don't give out the information on how many applications we received.​ And no, you do not get to keep your place in the alternate pool for next year. If you are not offered a seat this year you will have to re-apply next year."
At least having a rough timeline helps a little LOL

You have to turn your letter in by june 15th
