what textbook is everyone using? mine is called "microbiology" by robert w. bauman. it's still in its cellophane wrapper!

prinsessa, did you decide whether or not you are taking this course or spanish? i really enjoyed reading through and seeing all the different courses people are taking and that there are so many of us to support each other!! i look forward to getting to know you all a bit better. please pardon the list but it helps me to start remembering people. sorry in advance if i forgot anyone .. the list really doesn't mean anything and it doesn't mean i don't love you if i missed you. lol

i just bought my micro book from a friend that just finished the class, she let me buy it from her for $25!!! it is $102 used at my school, so i am very greatful to her! i am taking my micro class online, and just have to go to the school once a week for lab. at my school everyone says taking it online is easier, soooo hopefully.... is anyone else taking it online? just 5 more days, i can't wait(sorda  )

that is awesome! our school for some reason keep switching books every other semester can't keep up with these people. i payed over 150 for mine. it was over 1200 for books this semester and my pocket is still hurting.

good luck to you! :clown:

Is anyone else taking micro at BC3 in PA? I was just wondering as I haven't gotten my books yet and was wondering how much they were going to be. I can see from other places around 150 but was hoping to get a better figure.

I know we will all do well just from seeing other posts we have all been doing well so far. I recieved a letter today for the national Deans List:) has anyone else recieved this?

Good luck to all

Mel

Hey any buck you save here and there is worth it! :)

I originally bought my Micro book online from a bookstore inthe UK. I would have saved $78, but their communication stunk. After 17 days, I finally cancelled my order and then bought it from Amazon. I still saved about $52 dollars. Just in case some dont realize this, you can buy your textbooks in the UK for almost half of the price of the US. Normally I dont have such a bad experience buying overseas....

Every little bit counts..

Thank for the info Cheryl!

hey akmegs,im using the same book and edition, i know we'll do good with online micro! do you have to go to the school for lab? i have to go every wed. for lab. this semester i bought a digital voice recorder that allows you to download your recordings to your computer.i figured after each lecture i would download the files to my computer and orginize the files by each chapter we go over. i think that is a good way to study and stay organized.another good way to stay orginized is to make an outline of lectures, print them out and file them by chapter.when it is time to start studying for finals, or when you have to refer back to certain lectures or chapters it will all be there in order. i am very scattered brained sometimes :uhoh21: so orginization is soo important!!does anyone else have any suggestions? anything helps me!

You are so right. On the bright side the book looks like someone never even opened it, brand new. The seal is unbroken on the pocket of the CD :)

Thanks for asking! I made a 100% on the math test. I went in there really scared but the test wasn't bad at all.

Wanted to say good luck to everyone. I decided to wait and take it in the summer so I dropped the class. I dropped it because I wanted to focus on my nursing classes and the micro class was from 6-10 PM and that time is when I am usually studying when the kids go to bed so I thought it would be better if I just take it in the summer. I am just so nervous about organizing my time for the nursing program and want to make sure I focus and spend all of my time doing that instead of having to worry about micro too. Good luck everyone!!!
