I start Micro on January 12th - very nervous! What textbook are you guys using? I need to get ours still - it's: Tortora Microbiology and the Leboffe Lab Manual.

Anyone else taking this next term? I need company!!!

I just got thourgh micro its really not so bad if you have a good teacher. Learn to spell those words correctly. I also felt the lab was harder than lecture. Although my lab teacher didn't really tell us what was on the test we had to fend for ourselves and hope we study the right material. Other than that I thought micro was easier than A&P

using alcamo's fundamentals of microbiology anyone else using the same book. wont be long now i am really nervous about the class. good luck to all this semester.

that sounds encouraging. i had a terrible teacher in A&P where we had to fend for ourselves and didn't know if we studied right for the tests, too. I still made an A. I am good at spelling :)

i just bought my micro book from a friend that just finished the class, she let me buy it from her for $25!!! it is $102 used at my school, so i am very greatful to her! i am taking my micro class online, and just have to go to the school once a week for lab. at my school everyone says taking it online is easier, soooo hopefully.... is anyone else taking it online? just 5 more days, i can't wait(sorda )

how is everyone doing? lalajenn, how did your math nursing test go??

my first two days in micro were pretty good. i have heard a few bad reports about this prof but hopefully he will be okay for me. i try not to listen to too much of it in a serious way as you never know, right?

so far we have done an introductory class, a little bit of lecture on what microbiology is and some history. labs start next week. it seems really interesting to me. my mom informed me that this was one of her very favourite classes when she was at u.s.c. so hopefully the genes will hold and i will like it too.
