You go girl! I know you'll ace this class. Congratulations to you! :balloons:
Thanks in your faith in me :) I did well in today's quizz also....I am very excited that i had a great lab session, we did Gram+ and Gram- staining today and everything turned out just great for me.
Take care and stay in touch.
Hello Micro fam,
Update on my dilemma: So after transfering to the new instructor, I had to take her exam............got back the results I made an 88. This is very good to me because I had never sat in any of her lectures of labs and basically taught myself the first 6 chapters of the book. I also took a pop quiz last night and got a 100. I am back on track and my confidence is back to normal. I will not fail this.
As for nursing........got a 94 on last weeks pop quiz and am studying very hard for my exam on Monday, Nutrition exam Tuesday, Micro lab practical exam Tuesday night and Thursday clinical check-off. Wish me luck.
Best wishes to each and everyone of you and God bless!
Jess

You did SUPER considering the circumstances....the first test is always the hardest and I know you will get a higher grade next time, hang in there!!!!!! :balloons:
Well, tomorrow is my first exam. I am so nervous. I always make A's, but I just feel like our professor is going to ask tiny little details about stupid things we never covered. The test is on chapters 1,2,3,4, and 11.
I don't know why I am so scared. I feel like if I can get an A+ in Chemistry, then I should be able to get an A in this class also.
Please wish me luck!! I've been studying and studying. I have a stack of notecards and I haven't slacked in studying for this class at all.
She is letting the class write out definitions of bold words to cheat on the test, but I didn't know that they were due yesterday, so I am going solo. Honestly, I would rather know that I earned my grade through studying and hard work instead of cheating with definitions.
:chair: Scared,

Good luck to you Moon.
I need some advice. I had an OK lab partner (a guy, I knew him from A&P II) who knew how to set up the burners, etc. (I'm not too great being an older student). He had to drop last Thursday because his mother-in-law is dying and he has to go to the Philippines for a few weeks. Anyway, I thought since we sit at tables of four I have two other partners I know so OK. I come in yesterday only to see this redhead who isn't even in our lecture class and now she's my new partner!! I once went to open lab back in the Fall to check out the cadavers on a Saturday and she was there (my first experience with her). At first I thought she was a professor because she had one of those "I know everything" type attitudes. So she kept butting in on our cadaver the whole period and I didn't like her then. Now to only find out she's my partner!! She was telling me I was doing the wrong stain when in fact I wasn't. She also didn't like the way I set up the burner, which had been fine for our table before. I'm one of those who just is silent and does her own thing. Help. My mom says I should ask the teacher to move me but considering I'm 37 doesn't that look childish?? :argue:

Can you get your own bunsenburner going so that you won't hav eto share one with her? I had to resort to something like that because my "partner":stone kept turning the thing off as soon as he was finished and I wasn't.....I feel for you, tell her what you need and how you need it and stick to your guns, don't let anyone bully you! About the stains, tell her to mind her own and do everything you can to keep her out of your stuff.
Good luck , and if this interferes with your learning you must talk to the teacher...nobody looks out for you but you, your grade is on the line and sometimes we need to do what we need to do !
