okay, people! who is with me on this one? i am feeling a little nervous about all those slides! i'm looking forward to meeting everyone in this course!

i will gather up any useful sites i find in the last med micro club and elsewhere and put them in this post!

here's a start ..

I know I've been in lab only 4 times so far but when do you get the hang of what you're looking at? I'm getting pretty good at staining but once I look under the microscope I haven't a clue. Will it get easier?? :uhoh3:

We don't even have enough time to get things done....it better get easier or I will mess up the "Unknown" which I a really afraid of. Our teacher said we will do more of the same thing as time goes on so it should get better.

It BETTER get better :)

I'm joining the club....

WELCOME!!!!

We are having our second lecture test on Tuesday. We have done a stain. It was way cool! We have grown some "stuff", too! This one guy cultured his shoe. He had just left work at a hospital. It was COOL! There were so many different things growing. Wonderful margins and some were raised. It looked like we were looking at firworks on one. Kinda scary that it come from a hospital floor.

We had a mock unknown to seperate. They are growing now. We will do the seperation on Tuesday.

Update on my pshychotic Micro instructor.............I was adopted by another instructor who wrote a letter so that I was able to transfer into her class. I took her exam, and feel like I did better than the other instructor's. I have so much to do to catch up but it will be worth it. I am blessed because she used to be my Human Bio instructor and she knows I work very hard in my classes.

Thank you! I had the life sucked out of me there for a few weeks. I am back on my feet and even got a 100 on my quiz today

I am trying to catch up for my nursing classes now. I am not going to give up.

Hey ya'll just discovered this website and looks like it is a fantastic resource for nurses helping nurses be successful. I have one more class to finish till I apply for August 06 entry into program, and guess what it is. That's right, Micro. I've scored 100 on every lab report so far and had my first lab quiz last week (no grade yet) and my first lecture exam next week. I haven't taken a class for 1.5 years because I had my daughter and needed to adjust to that. God, pray I get good grades because I really messed around my freshman year of college and A & P I got C's but got an A in Chemistry....so if I get an A in micro too I will be super happy.

I just found out that I A'ced the first lecture quizz, too she posted the results on WebCT! That means I already have earned the 5 points extra credit towards the first lecture test which will be a week from Tues. She was sneaky though and didn't announce it, but I kept my cool and did well! this class is not easy, you have to stay on top of things!
