Anybody else noticed that the Books that MDC is using this term, has gotten some strong criticism? For example, that they're is a lot of errors in the book. It's something that is alarming to me to say the least.

Does anyone know if you get selected to Baptist, that the book list will remain the same? It's the only reason I haven't bought the books yet. Even though I have been wanting to buy them so bad to start preparing early.

Hey jael, im pretty sure that alot will change for those who get accepted to baptist. Im waiting too.. but i really want to prepare early. baptist said it takes two to three weeks for us to find out if we got accepted or not. The only thing i have bought so far is a roling bag lol. I know we will have many books.:)

I heard that books are the same at MDC Medical, Homestead and Baptist.

I wouldn't bet on it until we know for sure though!

I'm eyeing the pile of my nursing books and I have to admit, I'm mildly intimidated. I started to read Fundies, listen to MDC podcasts (NCLEX ?? of the week and some lectures).

It was pretty cool to meet my new accelerated classmates. Everyone was so serious, LOL

I'm having my fundamentals clinical at Mount Sinai (should be fun since i used to volunteer there for almost a year). who is with me?

To get recorded stuff from MDC, you gotta go play with your "iTunes U". Browse by school name and you will find gabazillion things to listen. It is free and gets downloaded to your iTunes automatically if you subscribe

I still haven't got a call from Baptist!!!!! I called them and they said I was on the list to get a interview, that it's just been difficult to get a panel together with the holidays approaching. Is anyone still waiting for an interview as well??? :uhoh3: :uhoh3: :uhoh3:

I'm still waiting, which I'm glad because it's given me time to prepare and practice. I'm wondering if everyone gets a chance to interview. I hope so! :idea:

Guysss! I had my interview today! I have never been more surprised than I have been today on how I pulled those answers out of my ass! Lol. It wasn't been and the interviewers were very nice. They encourage you to ask questions at the end. They're passing rate for MDC students was 100% last NCLEX exam. If that isn't amazing idk what is. Ask questions and relate your answers to the job. I told them I was a better working alone than together in a group but I tried to convey that that only makes me stronger independently.

But seriously don't freak out. Look nice! I know they were looking me up and down. Don't show you're nervous and try to come off as a strong person. Good luck guys!!

Raptor don't worry everyone gets to interview, I think next week might be the last group of interviews.
