AlexLL...have you gotten a response from Baptist yet? A yes or a no?? Just wondering if they'll call either way :confused:

I wonder if I'll get a call either way, if I was accepted into the scholars program or not?!?! Do you think all the calls went out already?

I still haven't got a call from Baptist!!!!! I called them and they said I was on the list to get a interview, that it's just been difficult to get a panel together with the holidays approaching. Is anyone still waiting for an interview as well??? :uhoh3:

I have been anxiously awaiting a phone call from Baptist for the panel interview but no luck yet. Is anyone else still waiting for a phone call as well??? :confused: Is anyone familiar with the interview process at all? Is it possible the interviews are done little by little? Im so nervous...I really want a chance at it!!

Blissberry!! I'm still debating on which route to go!! Accelerated or Generic!! The baptist scholarship would be great..but I don't want to risk not being awarded it and then having another year of schooling before I can begin working. Do you have any advice for me?? Another question..how do you qualify for the South Florida Workforce scholarship that you were awarded?? I'm going to accept my seat on Thursday and hope to make the best decision possible!!! Does anyone know if the scholarship is only offered to Full Time Generic students?? I already e-mailed Ms. Diamond but haven't got a response yet. Thanks everyone!! :yeah:

Blissberry! I got accepted into both options as well! I'm so thankful for this opportunity! I think I'm going to select the accelerated although I would really like to apply for the Baptist Scholarship. But by reading the emails, it sounds like the scholarship opportunity is only given to the full time generic applicants. Do you know differently?? I would love to apply for the scholarship and go the accelerated route :) So excited and looking forward to meeting you all!

I see a lot of people posting here anxious about acceptance and I just wanted to say that I hope we all get into to the programs of our choice, whether its at MDC or another college or university. I know I've worked really hard getting the grades that I have, as I'm sure you have all done the same. I think we all deserve a shot at becoming something we want to be, I know we all definitely want it bad enough!!! And people who want things that bad, don't stop until they get to exactly where they want to be. A panel somewhere is going to see this and say, "Let's give him/her a chance, I really feel he/she wants it." And from then on forward, our lives will never be the same.

Hi Neyla! Thanks for replying to me, you're the first person to answer any of my questions!!! I applied to F/T Generic and Accelerated. My GPA is a 3.6 and my TEAS score was a 78. Im hoping this is good enough but one can never tell! I heard from an advisor that TEAS scores this application pool were somewhat lower than before. Have you heard anything like that???

Anybody applying to the accelerated option???? If so, mind if I ask you your scores? :) Did anyone hear that the TEAS scores were lower this applicant pool? I was told by an advisor that they were!

How is a 3.6???
