alexLL, it is not a huge deal. you'll find that quite a few are in the same boat. when you have it ready take it to the nursing dept.

Hey you guys! I havent checked in in a few days, been kind of busy with school and work. I am glad to see everyone is doing well and getting ready! I know a lot of people have their orientation this week and I cant wait to hear all the great information! Sadly the homestead orientations isnt until the end of the month... But we will be okay! Almost there! As for anyone going to the homestead campus FT, cant wait to meet you all! I have bought a few books already. As far as school books go, they havent been crazy expensive, but they arent cheap. I probably should have waited til orientation but I like to read ahead. Has anyone bought a uniform? A watch? A clinical bag? I havent even been down to the bookstore yet, maybe I will make it down there Wednesday. Wish you all the best!

Hey madarmes... i see were both in homestead.. what books did you buy? and how did you know which books we need.. im so lost in all of this.. i havent gotten anything.

Hey everyone i just left the baptist interview. It was not bad at all.. Four people interviewed me. The manager in Hr, The head nurse, and i dont remember who the other two people were.. They just told me to have a seat and they began asking me questions one by one.. They each have a packet where they choose the questions from. My advise to all of you is to not get nervous. Just go in with a positive mind and be honest. They all seem to be very nice.

What has been your bigest mistake?

Have you ever witnessed someone being dishonestat work? how did you handle it?

Have you ever been in a dissagreement with a supervisor? explain.. and how did you handle the situation?

What is your best quality?

Do you rather work by youself or in a team?

What would you do if you knew someone was going to call in sick and was lying? how would you hande it?

I think im only missing like 2 or 3 more.. It was so short and simple.. as long as you stay calm.. you will answer them fine. Getting nervous is what blocks you from thinking.

I have been anxiously awaiting a phone call from Baptist for the panel interview but no luck yet. Is anyone else still waiting for a phone call as well??? :confused: Is anyone familiar with the interview process at all? Is it possible the interviews are done little by little? Im so nervous...I really want a chance at it!!

I have not received a call yet but hopefully I will soon.

But is it me or do these questions they ask in the interview have no real wrong or right answer.

What do you do when you know that someone calling in sick is not really sick? Do you tell a supervisor or mind your business? What is you biggest mistake? are they refering to our personal or professional lives? Now I am even more nervous because I don't think there are conclusive answers to these questions. :smackingf

I noticed when i went to the interview that they were calling alot of people to come in for interviews. The person that was i the front desk told me i would reeive a letter in the mail or a call in the next 3 weeks wether i got it or not. Dont worry they will call you they are going to be interviewing for a while. If you want call the scholars program and ask them if everyone gets an interview.

Neyla, dont worry.. What they want to do is get to know how you will react to those situations. I told them a huge mistake that i made and how i learned from it. They just want to know how you deal with it.
