MDC Spring 2012 :)

Hi guys!

I was hoping to get to know some of the people that will be applying to the Spring 12 nursing program.

I've been following the MDC Fall 2011 =) thread and I'm super excited for them, but now I'm even more excited since this time it's finally me who is applying to the nursing program.

So...who else is applying???? :redbeathe

Yea we literally had 1 week to get everything together, official transcripts take 2 days according to the Miami Dade website, I'm going to speak to Dawn Diamond regarding this since she is in charge of the scholarship program. If we all have the same problem I'm sure they will do something for us. I'll be around the Medical Campus @ 11am

Neyla and Alex, you don't need the official transcripts til the day of the panel interview. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted for the application deadline.

I hope to be there around 11am also.

I think if we all state that it was just to short of a notice, they will consider it a reasonable excuse and help us out and thay may even print them for us at their office, if not I am sure we are all willing to pay the $5 and pick them up but we would need their authorization so the registrars office can mak this exception of a same day pick up:uhoh3:. Lets hope for the best.

Don't worry, everyone! I posed the very same question to Dawn today. Here's what to do: - Print out a copy of your unofficial transcripts from the MDC website, and turn this in with your packet. - Order an official copy of your transcripts online to be sent to Baptist directly (the only thing we send directly) . There's an option when you order to either select an institution or write in an address, and you'll write in the Baptist Scholars address that appears on the application packet. Go ahead and pay your $5 fee right away so it gets sent as soon as possible!

Thanks for the info on how to send it, I missed that question when I saw Dawn earlier this week. Should we wait to see if we get called for panel interview to send it? Or everyone gets called for panel?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here. Was just accepted in the Part Time program to begin January 2012. Anyone in the Part Time program starting this spring?

Also, if anyone can share any information on the Baptist Scholarship program and whether or not it applies to students in the Part Time program, it would be greatly appreciated. I tried going on Baptist's website but there is very limited information...

Hello everyone, This is my first post here, but I have been following this forum since I applied, and it has been very helpful first dealing with the stress of the long and tedious waiting, and secondly with all the information available that you all guys have post. Thank you all. I was accepted to the bridge program full time face to face option because I'm an LPN, I'm very happy almost everyone here got in. Congrats and hope see you soon.
