GWAFUH--
DO NOT change your date LOL
from my experience-
1st time i changed my date-failed
second time i changed my date-failed
this last time-i was going to change my date, but everything was closed sooo i said whatever-and fates passed me.
..hopefully, karma will work for you.
DECEMBER2905--
Pharmacy..oh...tips well BOTH my times i had only ONE "below" passing standards and both were pharmacy.
I bought the Kaplan "Meds in a box"-it says it has the 300 most commonly used meds for nclex--so i would do a few cards here and there..
I felt 'ok" with it-i would just look at the type of med, and since all meds have the N/V, headache etc.. side effects i would look at "special" things--like tetrycycline=photosensitivuty (so you wann have the pt wear a hat outdoors)
stuff like that
on my test though, i swear i i had 50-80 meds questions..I "knew" mabye 1/3 of them--some were meds i never heard of for diseases i never heard of..totally lost. i just had to break it down, try to "eliminate" as many as you can..some i could narrow it down to 50/50 and some i had NO idea..you just gotta, use what you already know and try the best u can. I swear..i was like ..i have NO idea what it is..i would click C, and pray the machine wouldnt turn off cause i knew i would have failed.
as far as knowing you are "ready"--you just know, im not talking about nervousness, thats always gonna be there but just try to, focus on what you are feeling,,are you nervous about the test or becasue you feel you dont know enough
I am surronded by RN's daily, my wife and all of our freinds are RN's in different feilds--at random points they would pop up questions or nursinf content from their respective fields and i would answer them--
and finally, like i said before ACCURACY is more important that number of questions. Take your time, pace yourself--i RAN out of time at 250 and i passed..every instinct i had wanted to rush through it to 265. but i had to fight it off and slow down. and in those 60 questions i had more higher level questions than i did all test.
its not YOU its the test.
yes...malenursesdorock is now an RN !!!!!!!!!!!
I FINALLY !!! PASSEEEDDDD !!!!
JON
thank you ALLL for your support and encouragement. I truley wish the best for all of YOU !!
now that i have passed, i am going to help as many people as i can to pass this test.
now im going to run down the street in my boxers. :)
JON
That is sooooooooooooo wonderful. Jon RN! I am sooooooooo happy for you and for your family. Enjoy your weekend and party hardy
another tip i used--
i listen to this almost EVERYDAY--listen to the words..
oh and one last thing, i used was i watched the class slide show i made for our class--
if you want here it is--
Im the really big guy (im 6'5 270) lol--
im at 4:13 guy in hat
4:59 big guy on the left-being silly
7:04 guy in the middle (im the one wearing a dress---yes a DRESS !! i was our "class clown" if you couldnt figure it out lol-
my buddy and i would make bets every semeters on grades--i lost first semester and had to wear a dress--last semester i had to wear pink scrubs to school
and lastley im at 9:43 im the big lug sittng on the poor girls lap.
..the music and seeing m my freinds 90% of whom passed before me, gave me hope watching this.
JON
Faeriewand--How was your test today ?--Dont give up !, keep your head up until you know for sure-even then- Look at JAXGRL and me both of us 3rd timers and there are people who have more--
we are here for you guys
LOOK at me, i RAN OUT OF TIME at 250..but i knew i wasnt going to finish, i got discouraged , i WANTED to speed up, to at least "finish" but I SLOWED down----and answered accurately..and thats what passed me. the last 60 questions...I took my time, when every fiber of me wanted to "speed up"--
I'm feeling pretty good about the test but I won't know if I've passed until 2nd week of June when I get my letter. They don't post LVN like they do RN in CA.
Thank you for the advice....my test is on May 14......I just needed to hear encouragement. I know we all are going through this, so thats why I think its great for us to be able to validate each other.
I will just continue to study the practice questions as much as I can and read the rationales.
sorry for the long post..
wow..5 pages in a row in one day! yeeehhhaa!!
im so proud of you guys who passed:
to cash,malenursesrock,jax_grl,revere308.
:ancong!::clpty:
yes god is really faithful. he blessed you and reassure you he'll grant what your heart desires. thanks for being a blessing to each one of us here. your life is a living testimony. keep it up and you'll always be in our prayers. :)
we'll update the may sched by the last week of may..yeah. or someone who might want to do it?? tee hee..please..
to all of us who'll be taking the test this week. we're having butterfly tingles in our stomach now. just pray and leave everything to god. we had our own struggles right now, and we really want to pass this test. we're done with our studying, and all we need now is god's guidance as we sat on the nclex. believe that god will grant what your heart desires. he got so much plans for us. our future, we depend on him. cheer up guys! we can do this! yes we can! we have god on our side!!
i just want to share this email sent to me from a pastor from god's minute: (it's a daily devotion sent by email and you could register for free!)
and jesus said: "with men this is impossible, but
with god all things are possible!
( matthew 19:26 *nkjv )
when you are facing something that seems impossible
to you, have faith, for nothing is impossible with god on
your side! after all is it not written: for with god
nothing will be impossible! ( luke 1:37 ) for, he
who is in you is greater than he who is in the
world. (1 john 4:4)
so don't give up when facing what seems impossible to
you. for you do believe in miracles don't you? well, isn't
a miracle something that has happened that seemed
impossible at the time?
therefore the next time you find yourself thinking that
something is impossible; remember the first verse of this
message and: watch, stand fast in the faith, be
brave, be strong let all that you do be done
with love. (1 corinthians 16:13-14) after all god
has said: "behold, i am the lord, the god of all
flesh. is there anything too hard for me?"
( jeremiah 32:27 )
amen!
god bless everyone! may you have a wonderful weekend--tomorrow's :flwrhrts:mother's day! happy mother's day to all mom's! super moms! :flwrhrts:
