i PASSED !!!!!!!! third time IS the charm !
I honestly started smiling to myself when I read this. I could just feel the relief and happiness from your post. Unfortunatly for me I havent passed my Nclex yet. I feel as if I'm losing hope sometimes but I get up on my feet after I have a good cry and just let out all my depression and frustration. I've taken the test twice and failed. Anyways I'm trying again this month or next month..god I keep rescheduling, keep thinking I'm not ready I should read more or do more, but it's killing me cause time passes by so fast and I keep thinking when is this torture going to be over and done with. I'd greatly appreciate any advice you can give to someone who is on her third trial of taking the test. I have Saunders now and I'm planning on doing suzannes Plan. I've taken Kaplans strategies and that didn't help me pass, but I did find it a bit helful in teaching me how to answer questions. Anyways Congratulations and thanks for sharing you story of Inspiration to Us.

depressed.
yeah I know I get that from my parents too. When they talk about my classmates or people that I know that have already passed the test ages ago, and it just makes me feel more behind and stupid that I'm still here. I dont know if they think it helps to stress that I haven't passed yet so I can step up my game or what...but it makes me feel worse.. I don't think any of us are dumb, I guess all of us just have different ways or learning and understanding things..but if we got through Nursing school I guess we can get through this test too..I give my goodluck to you as well..thank you for inspiring me to try again..I really do mean that.

Lately I've been feeling out of focus and losing hope. I don't know but when I took the Nclex and found out that I failed I wasn't feeling so bad, it just hit me now..I bought a new book Saunders..but to be honest I'm not reading it that religiously I'm getting tired of being here in the same situation. This will be the 3rd time that I take the nclex. My brother's not happy with me, my parents are alright but I know they just don't have the same faith in me anymore that I can do this..my sister's moved on with her life as an RN, and here I am..still a failure. It's really hard being the one in the situation of failure and being compared to a sibling that passed on her second take..it just makes me feel miserable and dumb. When you see others talk about it..it's easy to give advice..but when it's you it really is hard..

Hey Guys
[color=dimgray]some of you might know me from other posts. i'd like to get some feedback on what i'm doing wrong. ok, here's the issue: i took the boards recently in january and failed for the second time using kaplans 2007 book that i got from the complete reveiw course. i know this book by heart, and i mean by heart..but i know i could use some touch up on a few areas since it's been a month and 2 weeks. what would you guys suggest as preparation? would you master knowledge above taking the practice questions more? or would you practice on q and a and rationales more rather than focusing on knowledge? i'm one that just doesn't feel confident in my nursing content, so i've always been trying to master knowledge and lacking on practicing q and a. what's funny is the areas that i passed this time are the subjects that i skimmed through and tried to understand..like pharmacology, i didn't memorize but to my surprize i actually passed it this time. any suggestions? oh and by the way i purchased saunders 4th edition book yesterday and i'm starting from scratch again. learning her methods and reading her content book. i don't know if this is a good idea, but i guess kaplan just isn't working for me..and i'm hoping that suzanne's plan will work since i've been hearing alot of good feedback about it. well anyways, thank you for reading. feedback is greatly appreciated. i look forward to your responses. :typing

Sick To My Stomach
Well for the record I think you guys all passed. No one feels like they pass when they take that dreadful test. But from what I know SATA and priority questions are all high level questions, just hope for the best there's pretty much nothing you can do right now. You did your part, keep praying and hope that they send you your nursing license in the mail and not a big envelope. :plsebeg:

Graduated 2yrs ago need to pass NCLEX
wow katchik99 you give me hope! I also graduated in 05 of April, I've taken the boards twice so far too..and I'm really really hoping that I pass this third time around. I purchased SAUNDERS just today and I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! It's amazing and it's well detailed..I did kaplan before and I don't seem to like their plan. I don't like their book either b/c I think it's too short and too summarized.. and I don't feel confident in taking the test when I read kaplan's book b/c it only has like 500 plus pages..I don't think that's enough to prepare for a HUGE test like nclex. Well anyways thanks for inspiring us with your story. I hope that my story will end the same way...please pray for me guys..I'm preparing for my test and I plan on taking it in 1 or 2 months...so either APRIL or MAY! Hope I pass this time!!

Is it True?
Oh thanks everyone. Yeah I took the boards just recently and failed just this January. I had a ton of SATA's maybe like 10-15 it seemed! But I still was not able to pass.. Ironically I failed the areas that I passed before and I passed the subjects that I failed before! But it just goes to show that even if you think you've already mastered an area, that DOESN'T mean that you can lose sight on those areas and just focus on your weaknesses..but maybe I have myself to blame since it took me a year to get back into gear and take it again..Oh well. Anyways thanks for the responses, everyone seems very helpful here. Thanks again.

Is it True?
I saw a thread on here that the NCLEX passing standards will be raised this coming APRIL and I plan on taking the test on that month if not MAY. Is this true? Responses are greatly appreciated, thanks. :)
