Maricopa Spring 2016 Block 1 students

So we all should have heard weeks ago about our placement now I wanted to start a place for the preparation for Block 1.

I know Fall semester still needs to start and end before we can even get to block 1, but hey I'm to excited.

How is everyone doing getting situated for the universitys?

When is everyone thinking about starting the stuff that needs to be done for Maricopa (I.e. medical papers, titer tests, CPR)?

Get your background check started and finger prints. Finger prints take forever, and you can't start if you don't have them.

I'm sure you will need TB/Titer screen in place, as well as CPR certification... I had to renew my FPs...

Everyone should have fingerprints done already, it's a requirement to be on the waitlist.

Yes. but some may had them for years and they are up for renewal. Its every 6 years for Level one now.. I am pretty sure anyway.. :)

Ugh, so stressed. I got the official placement email, accepted, paid for the background check, and now my status page says I haven't been placed. I'm wondering if it is because I requested to be put in the GW Evening program after the placement email I received on 10/2. Maybe they rescinded my placement from 10/2 and will put me in evenings next round? I've emailed my advisor and hopefully I'll hear back soon. Still good with UIU though!

Wow that sucks. I'm still waiting to be placed so I can kind of feel your frustration. I'm with ASU and GCC.

Hmm, so you were placed for one program for the CEP but requested another? I would think if they pulled your placement then that means they are going to put you in your new requested program.

With the background check did you pay the extra $12 for the "student badge" thing? If you did then you shouldn't have to go through paying for another one.

I have no idea I have called the hotline twice and they say that I just have to wait till I'm placed. Its really nerve racking. I'm hoping I don't have to wait last the 2nd placement which they said should happen next week.

I thought you were guaranteed a spot when in CEP. Am I misunderstanding?

You are but what I'm taking away from this is that it still take the district some time to offically place CEP students.

Your placement page still says cep at the bottom? Have you emailed the nursing advisor at GCC just to double check? That would freak me out too :/

Yeah still says CEP at the bottom with GCC In_list. If I don't get place at the next placement in going to reach out to someone higher at GCC. I have emailed an nursing secretary already and she said to contact someone at the district.
