Maricopa Spring 2016 Block 1 students

So we all should have heard weeks ago about our placement now I wanted to start a place for the preparation for Block 1.

I know Fall semester still needs to start and end before we can even get to block 1, but hey I'm to excited.

How is everyone doing getting situated for the universitys?

When is everyone thinking about starting the stuff that needs to be done for Maricopa (I.e. medical papers, titer tests, CPR)?

Anyone have a list of what you need before you start.

I have shots, finger prints?

If you have all your shots, and CPR card, and healthcare form signed, you should be good to go. Once they get your letter back, you will need to do a background check, but till then... you dont need anything. But start grabbing books if you can, reviewing nursing fundamentals, if you can.. ETC.. Get prepared :) supplies, etc..

MCC Afternoon/evenings. Jun 5 I believe was my time stamp but I had my application in in April.

Wondering what the Days and Hours for classes are?

You can try and search nur152 for your campus but it's a little confusing as the lab and clinical days are not going to be ALL the days listed but it may give you a starting idea of what days and times they are trying to finalize the schedule.

I know for Estrella our orientation isn't until December 8 and they said we'll hopefully have a final schedule by then, and if it's final before then they will send it out to us.

Does anyone know The orientation date for Mesa? I want to get supplies etc and all that's needed for school but I heard that maybe won't have the list until orientation?

You can try emailing the nursing advisor at mesa and asking them when orientation is.

I have emailed MCC and I just received the reply. Orientation will be in Jan, and the welcome package with registration details will be received by Oct 23rd. If that helps.

The welcome page will break down the things you need ie. Books and uniforms along with possible schedule dates I believe. I have stumbled upon GCC welcome page for fall and that's what was on it.

The school will email it to you. Estrella sent on out a couple weeks ago and had info about the orientation date, schedule for block 1 still being set up, where to get uniforms, and the booklist (still subject to change).

You could email your advisor and ask for a supply list of that's what you're after.
