March 26 start

Nursing Students Ohio University

Anyone else planning on starting the program on March 26? I just got off the phone with admissions and they have my transcripts. After my info as been through "two checkpoints," I'm supposed to receive a welcome packet in late February. I'm excited and nervous at the same time!

There is a well-known issue with DB posts. Most TA's are OK with the issue but you may run into some that don't care that it is a system issue. I've taken 8 classes from OU and have only ran into 1 TA that marked down over it. Do the best you can - make sure you don't have to go back and edit any typos after you copy and paste from Word - that really messes things up!!

Did you guys look at your grades yet for the first module? I know we are supposed to be able to look at comments for the 3rd assignment? I'm not seeing anywhere there is comments, maybe they are just not up yet? I'm also wondering if we can tell what we got wrong on the other assignements?

I didn't do horrible. I didn't do as well on the quiz as I thought I would. I got 13 out of 15 both times, so I missed a couple things apparently. On the assignments I did pretty well. I got 9 out of 10, 2nd one I didn't do as well, I only got 3 out of 5, so I'm wondering what I screwed up. The personal statement I got 19 of 20, so I don't think thats bad. I'm just really wondering what I missed.

ETA: Just realized it said comments will be up by midnight tonight, so that is probably why I'm not seeing them.

Ok, ignore my post about not seeing what was incorrect. I figured it out, you have to go back in the assignment, and click on details in the bottom right. Although I am confused on the grading for assignment 2. I can see differences in my citation compared to what she put, but there are areas bracketed, which makes it seem like that is the area I have incorrect. But I can't see a difference in my citation and hers for those areas. Although I do see other differences. Anyone else have this problem? I emailed her for clarification, so I know what to review either way.

I was also marked down for my running head, she said to review the format. But I thought I had followed exactly per the video they posted. I'll have to go back and see what I did wrong.

How do I find my state nurses association's "legal regulations"? I did a Google search, went to my state's SNA website, and I couldn't find anything. Should I just look at Ohio's state nurses association "legal regulations"?

Anybody know where I can find California's code??

On a side note, I received my DARS today. Everything that I thought would transfer did. Only surprise is my general psychology class didn't transfer, but I'm hoping it was a mistake, and I'm going to challenge it. Other than that, all I need is Nutrition, stats, and junior comp to fullfill the rest of the requirements. I'm hoping I can take Nutrition at a local CC. Paying for all of this out of pocket = no fun. I'm excited to get this over with though. I have a total of 220 units and no bachelor's degree. I think I changed my major too many times!

I just realized how much I hate writing papers!:banghead:

Please tell me I am not the only one loosing their mind, lol. I really hope that as I adapt to writing papers and get into the swing of things this gets easier. I spent so much time just writing the discussion post and one response. I have to write another tomorrow, and finish my paper. Oy, I'm going to go crazy.

You are most definitely not alone! I haven't even done one response yet, and struggled so much with the discussion post. Haven't even started with my paper yet, had to work a long stretch which ended yesterday. I'm hoping the same thing, hoping it will get easier. I'm just not used to using MS Word at all, so not only struggling with papers but how to use Word also.

Ditto with the work thing! I finished my discussion post today. Still have to respond and have to write my paper tomorrow. Busy weekend for me! Yikes! Just a little stressed over here.
