I really hate pacer days! Had one today myself. I got tired of explaining that it is normal for your heart to beat fast, get out of breath and sweat when you are running really fast. Uggh!
And to feel nauseous and maybe even vomit a little when you sprint 10 minutes after lunch! Also, if you forgot your inhaler at home, maybe today is not the day to try for a personal record

The National Guard comes in and does some stuff with our PE classes. The PE teachers see it as their their job to push all the kids....the athletes respond well to that.
However, there are kids who are not conditioned, AT ALL, They don't even own a pair of sneakers.
Those days suck.

No school for me today. Fever of 103. 3 year old has strep. Almost 2 year old and newborn have flu. I have both. I REALLY hate missing work. But apparently they have this rule about coming in with a fever.

Tough when you have to be a parent before being a patient. Praying for an extra potent dose of Tami-flu. Hope you feel better quickly.

Ugghhh! Exactly! If you forgot your inhaler at home, maybe you should have mentioned that BEFORE P.E.??? Especially since no one has a car to bring it to school!!!!! Common sense!!!!

I sent home 5 yesterday and screened two 5th grade classes for scoliosis! Can't wait for spring break!

Thank you! If only I could take Tamiflu. Momma is nursing and baby is too young, doc wasn't comfortable with me taking it because of the risk to the babe.

Oh, the pacer test is the bane of my existence. After I was sent 5 girls during one PE class (we have 8 classes per day), I provided the coach with bottles of water and peppermints to try to ward off some of the visits. It actually worked!
