I didn't see a thread for this yet so I am going to go ahead and create one. This thread is for those applying to the Malcolm X ADN program for Spring 2024 (December 2025 graduation date).

I myself graduated with my ADN in December 2022 from MXC, but my significant other is in the application process for the program right now.

Hi, I'd like to stay updated with this post because I have a few questions myself. How has everyone's response time been when sending out emails to the clinical coordinators.  I find certain individuals are more responsive than others.

Hello, I have a few questions if you don't mind me asking.

Hey guys I have applied to the Spring 2024 nursing cohort and want to keep up with this thread. My requirement checklist has been marked off as complete and now I'm  anxiously awaiting for a decision? Do any of you guys know when decisions start to go out?

Mine is also now marked complete - I have heard that they aim for early December for actual acceptance letters, but I think at some point you are marked "Viable Candidate" first... Not positive when that part happens though. The waiting part is the worst of it LOL.

I actually don't think I ever got a response when I asked one of them a question, but it wasn't time sensitive so IDK.

I ended up scheduling with the nursing office via zoom to actually get in touch with someone. They weren't responsive via email and it made me anxious. At this point it's a waiting game.

Hi everyone hope all is well. So for the nursing program what exactly does viable candidate mean? because I've been marked as that currently right after I passed my TEAS. literally.

Viable candidate means that you have completed all the prerequisites, passed the TEAS exam, and have completed anything else (CB and all that) that was needed and you are eligible to be accepted. Personally, I'm still taking two of the prerequisites so I possibly won't be "eligible" until the end of the semester.

I received my offer yesterday morning! I haven't gotten an email but was marked as viable on Monday and then offered yesterday morning. Check your accounts if you haven't already!

same here! congrats!! at what point are you able to register for classes? do we wait for an email this time? I don't want to miss anything as spots are taken quickly for that. I can also see someone registered because I seat 29 out of 30 seats now

Yay!! So I accepted right away yesterday morning. The advisor said to give the registrar a few days to update your degree path and be able to register - they just got it quicker than expected and I got to register for classes today. When I looked, I think one other person had.
