Specializes in Lactation Consultant.

Hi! Just wondering if there is anyone here who applied to the COM program for this fall. I did and I'd love to connect with others who are anxiously waiting for news!

Hello, I also applied for COM RN program. Thank you for starting the thread  : )

You're welcome! Glad to connect and hopefully more people find this. From what I understand they are going to start mailing acceptance letters in early May.

I just emailed the admissions department and my contact told me that they are behind in tallying points. Acceptance notifications will now be going out "later in May".

Thank you for the update. Did you apply to any other RN programs outside of COM? I have heard that COM is usually the first to get back with results, but with this news not so sure.

I only applied to COM 😬. I'm 45 with 3 kids and really can't commute too far for classes and can't afford Dominican. If I don't make it into COM I will try for SRJC. I currently work as a Lactation Consultant at a hospital in SF, so my credential and work hours helped boost my points. I'm cautiously hopeful! How about you, did you apply for other programs?

I applied for COM, CCSF, and SRJC. When you contacted admissions, did they tell you what your points tallied up to? I understand that they are behind, I was just curious 🙂

Unfortunately, no, he just said they were behind.

How many points did you guys applied with? I think I have around 80-85.

I only applied to COM and CCSF. Haven't heard anything from CCSF either.

Same here. I believe I have an 85 at COM and 80-83 at CCSF. Can't wait to hear from them

We have a similar point. I have 85 at COM and 82 at CCSF. I live in Easy Bay, I hope I can get into LMC or Chabot.

Today I asked the Admissions Dept. when notices would be sent out and whether they could tell me how many points I was awarded and this is what I was told:

"The Nursing department will start notifying students with admission offers very soon. We are done with the point calculation."

Seems like it could happen any day! I guess we don't get to know our point total.
