Hey everyone, just starting a topic for people to discuss City Colleges of Chicago Nursing application process for fall 2023. I've had all my documents marked as complete for weeks now, status on my application just updated to "viable candidate". Anyone else hear anything? They haven't had very many info sessions this semester. Anyone know why?

Hi! I applied for fall 2023 and have not heard anything. Where are you seeing "viable candidate"?

Hi! Mine also updated to viable candidate last Friday. I wonder when they will start sending out acceptances.

It shows on your student portal under academic records and selective application.

I emailed one of the nursing advisors a week ago to find out when we might hear back but she hasn't responded. I'm so anxious!!

Hi,

im on the same boat. I have everything marked as complete and I'm marked as a viable candidate. Acceptance should have started last Monday but I have not heard of anyone being accepted, yet.

From the last semester it looks like it took over a month from the submission deadline

Hopefully we hear from them soon.
did you all apply to the PN or RN program?

RN program

Hi. I applied for the PN program but only my medical documents and cumulative GPA is still showing incomplete. I was thinking that maybe they're reviewing RN applicants first, then they will finish reviewing PN applicants. Is there anyone applying for PN that shows everything complete yet?

Hi, I applied for the PN program and mine are showing completed. I would say reach out to the nursing department, sometimes by doing that they will check your profile while on the phone and mark them completed if everything looks fine.

Yes follow up with them
