Malcolm X -City Colleges of Chicago School of Nursing Fall 2023

Hey everyone, just starting a topic for people to discuss City Colleges of Chicago Nursing application process for fall 2023. I've had all my documents marked as complete for weeks now, status on my application just updated to "viable candidate". Anyone else hear anything? They haven't had very many info sessions this semester. Anyone know why?

Yes that happened to me last semester. I thought since I already had my transcripts submitted to Truman that it will automatically be in Malcolm X system as well. My application for Spring was not reviewed because of that.

Thanks. I hope so too. Praying hard. I submitted my letter so  waiting for a response from the admission committee.

Hey. I just saw this just now. I haven't been marked yet. But I just received an email saying that the deadline has been extended until May 13th for everything to be submitted. And they're offering the last TEAS exam tomorrow.

You applied for the PN program, right?

Yes. I applied for PN.

I received the same email about the deadline being pushed to May 13th. I'd love to know how many people are applying vs. how many spots they have.

Weird, you're an RN applicant, right? I didn't get an email like that.

I'm thinking only people who haven't been marked viable yet or received an offer yet are the ones getting the emails.

Yes, I think so too. I hope that buys you time to get everything in. Best of luck to all of us. I have a feeling but also am wishfully thinking that all those who have been marked as viable candidates will be admitted because if they had already met the capacity then they would not likely sent out an extension e-mail or TEAS date.
