Hey everyone, just starting a topic for people to discuss City Colleges of Chicago Nursing application process for fall 2023. I've had all my documents marked as complete for weeks now, status on my application just updated to "viable candidate". Anyone else hear anything? They haven't had very many info sessions this semester. Anyone know why?

Did anyone here have to write a concession letter? I was just wondering if the Admissions Cumulative GPA was marked as complete after turning in the concession letter. Sadly, I'm still not marked as viable candidate. Thank you!
I would keep pestering them until they update it to the correct status. I could give you three examples of gross incompetence at MXC in just the last week.
Thank you all! I ended up sending an email. I was told that as long as I turned in my concession letter that I don't need to worry about the admissions cumulative GPA checklist. Hopefully, I'll be able to be a viable candidate soon. I also commented in another all nurses post from Spring 2023 and was told the checklist item was changed to waived. After, the application was turned to viable candidate. A little confusing, but we'll see how it pans out!

Thanks for the update. We're both in the same boat. Hope we do change to viable candidate soon.
So "possibly late this week, but more likely early next week". They've got to check off everyone who turned stuff in throught last Friday and then check everyone against the student loan database (apparently you can't be in the program if you're in default on a previous loan) and against another database that checks to see if you submitted transcripts from all the previous schools you attended. You'd think they would have done that already, but a lot of stuff over there doesn't make sense.

I had to write one for my GPA. I emailed the letter like two weeks ago but still haven't been marked complete.
