I'm still in a little shock. 1 semester down, with 3 to go. And MAN was it a crazy semester. Assessment class about killed me. Pharmacology was fun, and Pathophysiology was pretty easy, an Fundamentals were a blast. But Wow- hardest thing I've ever embarked on, ever!
Any tips for making the second semester the best it can be?

interesting.. i know some schools are different, but if you had to take patho along with fundamentals, health assessment, and pharm... i wouldn't like that. Well anyways, congrats you made it, and as many people told you, it just gets harder and harder lol. Welcome to the deeper level of hell.

Holla on that one! I'm guessing you guys are in a program where you start in the spring. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am in am ADN program (5 Semesters) fall entry program and just finished my second semester. My summer semester will be on OB, L&D, and Community Health, we start May 22nd and got to the 2nd week in July. This summer will be my 3rd semester! I have confidence that we will all be successful! SO will any of you guys be doing a summer semester too and then graduating spring 2013 as well?
Hey!
I just finished Drug Calc, Nursing Concepts, Nursing Skills (fundamentals) and Pharm. I am taking Patho this summer and then Adult Health I (Med/Surg) in the fall. I will graduate in December of 13.

don't let up-- the material gets harder for a reason. what kind of nurse do you want at your bedside-- the one who squeaked through, or the one that put his/her all into it?

Congrats! I take my last two finals tomorrow and then my first semester of NS is officially complete. I have to agree with you - health assessment was a killer. I'm glad that one is over. I can't believe they made you take pathophys along with everything else though. But again, congrats on making it through!
We don't go through summers. Our cohort started in the spring and it's a four semester BSN program. Next semester (fall) is Research, Groups, Aging (all 2 credit, busy work) along with Woman/infant and Adult 1. We graduate in December '13.
