For all of you that have read my anguished posts and offered support, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my
I will be working in a LTC facility, so I am going to be out of my comfort zone. I have been in the O.R. for the last 30 years. so, you will probable be seeing some posts from me. but, I am so thankful for this job, I would clean diapers and bed pans all day if they wanted me to!!
All of you still looking for a job, keep on! I was so ready to give up, but talking it out here on Allnurses and talking with those who have been in my shoes kept me going! I love you all very much and HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! XOXOXOXOXOXOX

Hooray for Virgo Hooray! ... I like hearing the good that does happen when so much effort has been put forth. Too often we are surrounded by negatives... So again Hooray for Virgo Hooray. (and to TX, never give up, never surrender, your turn is coming) .... Peace

I am new here, I have been wanting to join for support and so glad I have. This is my first post. Congrats to you for hanging in there and having a positive attitude....this is a hard battle. I love being a nurse, love caring for others, and just recently refered myself to KNAP, which is a monitoring program in Kansas. I have had an ongoing battle with pills, and right now am very scared, and also thankful that God intervened just in the knick of time. I am so looking foward to hearing from you all and your stories, this helps so much as you all know. :)
Welcome, renne- you will find lots of support here!! glad to have you on board!!
Welcome renne! It's a tough battle, you will develop the tools to handle this gracefully and as calmly as possible. Keep posting so you can eventually PM.
Hello Renne, Pull up a chair and share, or just lurk for awhile (I did). I've found this to be a forum of peeps that have been on the same path as I, recovery and being monitored by the BON. I know I've shared with my forum brothers and sisters things that my family or peers would not understand or I just didn't want them to know. Its a long road that beings with your first step, Hopes you find the support and understanding you need to walk this path, I know it helped me. I completed last month and keep returning to the forum to see if I can support others. Hang in there........ Peace

This forum has been very helpful to me. I lurk a lot but visit daily. I'm now done with the monitoring but I still come here everyday. There are lots of understanding and wonderful nurses here who share lots of things in common including addiction, recovery, and dealing with the BON.
