Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

Good luck with your finals Jessi29! Im so pumped for orientation(s) next week!! I have two to go in one week so work is not happy about that...but at least they are paying for my cpr class!

They did, last year and the year before, I believe. But last year was strange. Some people who came in on the wait list had higher scores than people who were accepted right away. I think there was some sort of mistake made.

Are we required to purchase anything at orientation I assume we will need to buy books asap due to the reading assignments we will receive at orientation?? Thanks :)

Is everyone getting excited for orientation next week!?

Stephalump- Also wondering what we will need to buy at orientation next week. I know everyone said we will be given reading assignments so i assume we will have to start buying books immediately.

Hey, sorry! Been busy celebrating being 50% of a nurse :)

There's nothing for sale at orientation. You'll get a reading assignment of about 30 chapters in your Fundamentals book, so you'll need to buy that. If you're going to read it all (honestly, I didn't) you'll definitely going to need to start early because it's a lot.

You'll also need scrubs and your stethoscope for the summer course. But you have time for all that :)

I didn't do a DO and I have received my card.

I did my fingerprint on April 24 and it hasnt come yet...

I still haven't received my blue card :( I have a letter from the BON saying I am clear, but CyFair nursing said I should be receiving a blue card. Hopefully soon! I know I have time, but I want it NOW!
