Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

I called and she told me i am possibly number 10 but to call back on Thursday to verify. I have an 11.2 for anyone who is wondering where they stand!

I am all signed up for classes!! I have the summer class of July 31th and I am doing Monday afternoon labs and Clinicals on Weds at St. Luke's Hospitals!!! Classes filled up super fast! For everyone who hasn't signed up yet prepare for a little bit of a hassle. All the classes were blocked and we had to call advisors to get us signed up! So if you do it online it wont let you!

Jessi29, except clinicals, we will be in same class!! My clinical is Memorial Hermann, which was filled up super fast!

Yes, it was confusing and frustrating. In this morning, I could register only summer course.

All fall classes require 'completion of' RNSG 1105, which isn't even started yet!

So I think nobody could register by oneself. I called the admission professional, and she did enroll for me.

Anyway, I'm in! I'm still waiting for blue card....

Yeah, I emailed my advisor first thing this morning when the blocks were lifted, and I received all error messages saying that I didn't take the prerequisite classes, etc. So, I got my third choice for clinical location (1st MH; 2nd St. Luke's; etc.). In the end, my schedule is pretty much what I wanted, so no complaints - Tuesday morning labs, July 1st Summer class, Wednesday clinical.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the alternates who want to goto LSC-Mo get a seat.

Yes advisors said apparently everyone had that problem with the error message. I was a little nervous i wouldn't get what classes i wanted but i did!! Now time to figure out books!!! Lol!!! Does anyone know a good health insurance company to go with i have to sign up and get some coverage!!

Geez, i wonder if that will happen for us at North Harris..i am dying for a clinical site in The Woodlands since i live here..St. Lukes is my number 1 choice since the only other woodlands site is south health..

When i got home last night i typed in all the books on amazon and found all of them except for the pediatric books for a little under $480 bucks including the recommended ones! Not bad at all..and i think i could have gone a cheaper route if i got more used.
