Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

Has anyone from North Harris received any correspondence regarding the social security verification.? I did mine a few weeks ago, still nothing yet.

When I did mine, I got some papers in the mail 3 days later saying it was verified. That was a few weeks ago though.

I'm at moco and I did my ss verification and received an email a few days later with a green light saying I was verified.

I had the same email jessi got. Verified with a green light the next day

My ss verification was emailed to me by the company in 2 days.

Ugh...so frustrating; I had my fingerprints done a couple weeks ago, and I just received a letter in the mail saying they've been rejected because the "quality of characteristics is too low to use". For those who may be putting off doing yours, I would suggest starting the process early to ensure you have enough time to complete it in case things like this happen. I've got another appt. to go this Thursday and have them redone. On a good note, I've got my CPR class tonight. Should be fun. :)

Didn't you go to the place on 1960? I hope mine where ok I did mine 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything yet!

Yea, that's the one I went to. Maybe that's a good sign that you haven't heard anything yet. Rejections are probably processed faster. I wouldn't be too worried about it. Just keep checking your mail for your blue card. I bet it comes this week.

Thanks ladies. I got my social security verification finally emailed to me. Those guys at the research group were pretty sweet.

Question, I thought early on in the thread, we had current students. I wonder if someone could, please, tell us if there will be items we will be required to buy at orientation?

Is everyone getting excited for orientation next week!?

Stephalump- Also wondering what we will need to buy at orientation next week. I know everyone said we will be given reading assignments so i assume we will have to start buying books immediately.

I'm excited for orientation on Monday!!! After that it might feel more real for us!! Also good luck to everyone who is taking their finals this week!! I have my Medical Microbiology final in about an hour and then Pharmacology Friday!! I think this girl is going to need a drink this weekend!!!
