Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

Do you know how many transition spots there are? I've heard maybe 25? We're a small class (only 40 of us) so it'll be fun to get new people! Our class is an...interesting...bunch lol.

Keep in mind it was for the Transition Program it was a 10.9. It may be a little different for the basic track because it tends to have more applicants.

I too have received my acceptance letter to my mother's address!!! I checked my mail and got a bit discouraged that there was no letter. Then I remembered I used my mother's address. I applied to the transition program, first choice was Montgomery and my score was 10.4.

LKM84, No problem! I honestly can't remember us being offered any HW at orientation. There was a lot of confusion with books and what was needed and expected of us in the beginning, but that's because "Nursing School" was new to all of us. Yes we were assigned a lot of readings and the first exam wasn't so bad for me. As long as you read, study, read, study (lol) or however you want to put it, then you should be fine. It's impossible for me to focus on everything because there is so much to read, but focus on the main points of what you the exam will be over. It is true that if you put off doing what you have to do, then you will be behind. It's basically a whole lot of reading. The exams will be different than what you are used to.

April 25 from 3-7pm is Montgomery orientation for the transition program not sure if basic track and transition will be held together. This is the only date and time listed.

WOW! Were transition applications due the same time as basic track ADN applications? How exciting! Congratulations to you guys that received your letters!
