Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

Kevann, if you get an acceptance letter you'll get instructions and a code. I think there's a way to do it without one, but I don't 100% remember. I'd try to call and ask. Because you're right, the sooner the better!

ok, thank you!!! I'll call now

Stephalump- soooooooooooo....i just called the north harris campus and asked for the code. She told me that i would not receive that information until i got accepted to the program. I told her that if it takes a few months to get my background cleared by the BON, i couldn't really wait until i received my letter in the mail. I also told her that i was told to start on this ASAP. She was really rude and told me i needed to wait until i got accepted, period. Not really sure where to go from here..i tried to call the Montgomery campus and everyone that can help me is in a meeting until 4:30..FRUSTRATING

NO PROBLEM! :)

Well they tell you to start filing your declaratory earl...I guess you've already done that and you can just wait? I know the code is linked specifically to the school, so I'm sure they don't want you using it unless they're actually in their program and the registration with the BON is complete, but I thought you could do more than just submit the form!

I scheduled my own fingerprinting last year without a code. There is a form to fill out on the nursing page at lonestar, I believe its under requirements but not sure. I remember the ppl at L1 were not very helpful either and rude as hell when I got them done. I have a class C misdemeanor as well back in 2004. I am still stressing about it not clearing through Lonestar even though bon said that I am clear for licensure. Hope this helps a little.

Wondering if anyone can help me with the L1 Identity Solution finger printing process. I just mailed off my declaratory order to the Board of Nursing and on the info sheet it said in 10 working days after mailing off this letter, go to the l1id.com website and register to get my finger printing done. When i logged onto the website, it said i needed to have a code of some sort to continue and schedule my finger printing at a location nearest to me. Does the BON email that to you or do i need to get it from the college? Also wondering why i need to wait 10 days. (is it because they will email me a code after receiving my paperwork?) Thanks in advance! Got in a little trouble with 2 class C misdemeanors 10 years ago and had my record sealed but they said i still needed to file the proper paper work..freaking out and id like to get my ducks in a row sooner or later considering i am way behind as of now..

Kevann were they asking for the Agency Number/ORI? If so, it is TX923490Z. If you Google search "TX923490Z agency number" the first and second link should be an LSC Word Doc. This number is assigned to the TX-BON so that they know which agency to send result to although you may want to call or email a different campus for verification. All LVN and RN schools in the State of Texas use this number. Good luck!

1) Does anyone have any idea what was the lowest score they accepted this year at Montgomery for the transition? A friend of mine who is not on the forum would like to see what her chances of getting in are they have her as an Alternate. 2) What are the chances of being admitted if you are selected as an alternate.

I think they usually pretty much accept you if you apply and meet the requirements. Last years class wasn't even full. Much easer to get into than basic track! And I've heard they usually take everyone off of the waiting list, so I'd say her odds aren't too shabby.

So even if they put her on the alternate list?

I called the nursing dept. at Cyfair and asked when their letters would be sent out, and she said it will be emailed to your mylonestar email sometime this week. YAY!!!
