In my Internet travels I came across these vintage comic books from the fifties about "Linda Carter, Student Nurse" and all of the "warmth, drama and romance of a nurse in a big city hospital".
Old romance-comics are funny enough, but the nursing student angle of these makes them all the more funny. Maybe I just have a weird sense of humor.
Thanks for sharing these. I am not familar with the Linda Carter series. (I wonder if I could buy them somewhere ....)When I was a senior in nursing school (many years ago), some of us got a kick out of reading "Cherry Ames: Student Nurse." One of the lines from that book became somewhat of a motto for me. Cherry learned quickly that ...
"A nurse will never stand if she can sit, and never sit if she can lie down."
So...what was Cherry up to exactly when she had the mythological option of 'lying down on the job"???
