License plate ideas

Nurses General Nursing

Just found out I passed NCLEX and decided to get a new personalized license plate to celebrate my new status! Anyone care to share what they have on their cars, or have any ideas or suggestions of good personalized plates? TIA!

I thought about personalized plates, but then decided not to advertise my RN-ness (is that a word?). Anyway, I went with fire-fighter plates - everyone in my rural area knows who I am as I drive a bright yellow Nissan Frontier pick-up with the red fire-fighter plates.

Well I can think of one advantage of RN plates.

Since some in the public think nurses are penniles, you won't have to worry about the fraudsters sideswiping you on the highway trying to caus an accident to rack up the insurance dollars.

This was meant to be a joke...

:p

Will you use your allnurses username?

For me I wouldnt put RN or LVN on my plates, but that is just me. I have seen CRNA 1 , CRNA 2 things like that. I had a new camero not to long ago and was going to have my nickname put on it .. RED (big red hair) . At first I was going to put SMOKIN but my hisband said that the cops would be after me all the time ,Mary jane and what not.

No way would I advertise that I'm an RN on my license plate. Too many nut jobs out there that will think you have drugs and try to break into your car. All kinds of other strange things can happen when you have that on your plate. There have been several threads in the past discussing this; if you do a search you should be able to find them.

I understand being excited about passing, but you could really be setting yourself up for trouble to have that on your license.

Here in Indiana we have a state issued plate for nurses it costs an extra 15$ and the money goes to nursing scholarships, it is really cute it has a stethoscope and says "BE A NURSE" on it.

I once had plates that are the same as my screen name: TNT RN. And believe it or not, I was passed on the freeway (when I had those plates) by someone with plates that read: 1 TNT RN :chuckle

However, I was advised to not advertise on my plates. The reason given me was that if anybody ever thought I hadn't stopped "at the scene" or left before I should have "from a scene", there was possible litigation involved.

So now I have boring plates.

Three years ago my kids gave me a personalized plate as a Christmas gift. It says CV:redbeathe RN4U.

Never had any problem whatsoever displaying this plate on my sporty little red car. Have had people in parking lots comment on it. Mostly people take guesses at what it means. 90% of the time they get it right.

I don't necessarily like advertising this either, but it was a gift from my kids, after all.

I recently saw a plate that said RN with PMS. Way to give RN's a great name! God help her patients!

North Carolina has a cool nursing plate. https://edmv.dot.state.nc.us/sp/SpecialPlatesPortal.html

Go to Specialized Plate Viewers, then view more plates, and the nursing tag is on the second page. $15 from each plate goes towards nursing scholarships. -Andrea

I don't have personalized plates, but one of my friends has "Hug A RN"
