The testicles dont actually have to be in Abdominal cavity they can be anywhere near like suprapubic area. The problem is they dont descend into the scrotum. There is an 18 month time span to correct the issue other wise the testicle cannot survive the hot temp. My son had his surgery at 17 1/2 months . He has 5 scars from it 3 on the Abd, 1 mid suprapubic area and one big one down his left scrotum. Kids are resilient he bounced right back with in a day or 2.
