  1. I used all those books too plus Delmar and Davis. I used there cd's to which were helpful because it gave you random exams on all of the material.I passed my Boards the 1st time I tried. Good Luck!
  2. Ive been looking around for about a month know and its anywhere from $16-$25 an hour. The low side being hospital and the high range being a nursing home.
  3. 3 weeks 6 days in California. Oh ya and when you get the form to request your license pay right away. Called BVNPT and they said 1-1/2wk to process the check and clear your name for license then another 1-1/2wk to get you a # and then 3-4days to get it mailed out to you. So your looking at waiting another 3wks 4 days for our license#. That sucks!
  4. Hey I took my test in August in California and it took 3 weeks & 6 days. Thats better than 4-6weeks. Good luck, you probably did fine.:balloons:
  5. When I did clinicals LVNs worked in post partum but not L&D.
  6. In california you can take the IV phlebotomy class but cannot be certified till you have a license. The facility im going to will allow you to take the class but will not issue the certification till you have actual license.
  7. Hey are you taking NCLEX in California? Seriously I think you should use a review book 1st and then try the practice questions. Once you can master retaining vital information then move onto the Questions. Also always think airway and safety. Those are big ones on the test. Good Luck and if you need anymore advise just hit me up.
  8. I used lippincott review, delmar, nursing incredibly easy by lippincott, Saunders, straight A's in pharmacology by lippincott and Davis review. I seriously studied like 4-5hrs a day for 2 months before my exam. Maybe you should take a review course. I did that too. Good luck!

  10. Yay I got my pass letter today in california. 3 weeks & 6 days after i took the exam. Best of luck to all of you still waiting!

  12. Hey i feel your pain about waiting. Today is day #24 since i took the test in August and still no results. California has to do something about getting results out faster! Take care and good luck!
