Doesn't it just drive you insane when someone tells you that Mr. Smith's O2 STAT is 96%?

It's O2 SAT people! Sat, short for saturation. I even hear respiratory therapists saying this. I am sooooo tempted to say something next time, but I know it's just petty, so I needed to vent here. Thank you.

I used to work with the cutest scrub tech way back in the day. Her family immigrated here from the Dominican Republic. She was always so bubbly and positive, laughing all the time and just a pleasure to be around. She was trying to make friends here and went out with a group of friends the night before. She was telling me about what a good time she had, and stating that they certainly "threw up". I asked her if they had too much to drink or something. She looked at me quizzically and so I asked her why her friends were vomiting. She laughed and said, "Oh, I meant to say that they certainly THREW DOWN".

Try taking the Kaplan online. Some of those presenting the online content were diabolical. I can't believe that Kaplan permits those videos to still run.

It scares me that surgeons who get things wrong like the above have a license to hold a scalpel! Makes you shudder if they know what they're cutting.....

I worked with a psych nurse that regularly stated that such and such patient had both audio and visual hallucinizations? He would also say that "he gave 650mg of astaminophen"(phonetic) drove me nuts!:banghead:
