Hi guys! I graduated nursing school on Dec 12 and I took my nclex a few days ago on Dec. 30 and passed in 75 questions on my first try! I also just got a job on a neuro step down unit at a Level 1 trauma hospital here in my city (full time days, woo!) on top of regular training and orientation will be training for 4 weeks in the neuro ICU. It's my dream job. I just wanted to say thanks because this website has helped so much throughout my journey through nursing school. To everyone still fighting your way through, don't give up! You can do this!
if anyone is looking for suggestions, I HIGHLY recommend getting the Priority and Delegation book by LaCharity. I think out of everything I used that book was the most helpful. Good luck everyone!

Congratulations...amazing you landed your dream job!! May I ask what part of the country are you in?
And thanks for the suggestion! I can't afford more books yet but I looked that LaCharity book up and was able to read some samples, and it actually cleared up something silly I didn't understand in my current reading (the difference between "assignment" and "delegation")

That is awesome. I hope one day I'll be telling this same story. Congrats and happy new year
I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. Good luck to you! It's ok if you don't have it right now! I bought it in my last semester and didn't open it till after I graduated. I would also recommend taking nclex ASAP after you graduate. I took mine a little less than 2 weeks after graduation. The longer you wait the more you will forget and the more time you have to stress and psych yourself out!
