Just got home from the NCLEX...

Published

I just got home from the NCLEX. I got 17 SATA, tons of medications question, 2 calculation questions (i know i didn't get the other one correct), and LOTS of priority questions and no delegation. I stopped at 75 questions. I was confident when i walked into the exam room, trying to calm myself because I did prepare for this exam. I studied for 2 months, took the complete Kaplan Review and even signed up for the NCSBN 3-week subscription. I studied >5,000 questions and I thought I am prepared...BUT this exam does surprise in a different level. I came out the exam room crying..driving home, I couldn't stop crying!!! What are the chances that I can pass when I got like 17 SATAs??!! And I feel like i only know maybe like 5 for sure.

Please please pray for me that I pass..like everyone else I'm feeling this mixed emotions. NCLEX is sooo hard. But i hope i passed. :(

you should be finding out anyday now right? the wait is awful. i know. it popped up to the minute that i actually finished my exam. i was so worried i had to wait till monday, but nope they were there. i cant wait to hear from you!!!

Everybody comes out with mixed emotions wondering if they passed or failed. There is no way to tell until you get your results. Good luck and try your best to relax.

i know a terrible feeling, but i have this feeling your going to be on here screaming you passed.....:yeah:

Hi,

I did my NCLEx PN today and I felt like I was guessing most of the questions because there were about drugs I heard not heard of. I mean......some questions were just hard.....and I think I got the last two wrong before the computer shut off at 87 questions. I was expecting to go on to 205 because I felt I knew nothing. I did not get a lot of repeat questions but.........all the same I got hard questions and I guessed a lot. I have to wait till TUesday to know........I am freaking out and I have started studying again because I don't think I did well. I did mine In Boston. I know How you feel.......the wait is exhausting and not knowing............well, Good luck and wish you all the best.

i took my nclex-rn exam today and it stopped at 75 questions and i had 5 or so SATA and 2 med math and so many MEDS.. im sooo nervous bc i didnt even know some meds and i guessed on most of them. only God knows and i feel like i failed miserably. I am praying and will know in 48 hrs.

Please pray because i was literally scared and crying during some questions.. i was reallly nervous!!,,

I really feel you passed... I cant wait to hear the good news... got me anxious also : )

Sounds like my test that I took on Monday (which I also took in California). I had roughly about 15-20 SATAs, and at one point I had 6 in a row. I had a ton a meds and 1 drug calc. And a lot of pt teaching and infection control. I was worried I failed as well. I was thinking to myself that if they keep giving me these SATAs I'm not gonna pass, but I did. So don't be too hard on yourself, try to relax and do something fun to keep your mind off of it. Everyone that took it with me that day passed too. One at 76, one at 84, and one at 265 (yeah all the questions). So I'm pretty sure you passed as well. Good luck to you and keep us posted as to when you pass :wink2:.

Hi Hypoxic, I got SATAs like 6 in a row too! I was hoping the computer will give me any "delegation" question cuz that's what i practiced the most. Well there's nothing i can do right now but wait. I hate this waiting game. It's slowly killing me.. :(

Thanks for all your support you guys who post on this thread. I really really appreciate it.

I dont think anyone really know how they grade this test, my theory is they grade it on HOW you answer...because alot of the questions had 2 right answer and they asked for the BEST answer...i bleive they test you for your critical thinking. i swear, it must be because some of the strightforward med question i know i got wrong for a fact...and the sata's, there is NO way i got those right. and i passed, so i dont get it. lol. you will do fine!!! 4-ever heaven your still waiting??? i have been checking this site everyday to find out!!!
