I just got home from the NCLEX. I got 17 SATA, tons of medications question, 2 calculation questions (i know i didn't get the other one correct), and LOTS of priority questions and no delegation. I stopped at 75 questions. I was confident when i walked into the exam room, trying to calm myself because I did prepare for this exam. I studied for 2 months, took the complete Kaplan Review and even signed up for the NCSBN 3-week subscription. I studied >5,000 questions and I thought I am prepared...BUT this exam does surprise in a different level. I came out the exam room crying..driving home, I couldn't stop crying!!! What are the chances that I can pass when I got like 17 SATAs??!! And I feel like i only know maybe like 5 for sure.
Please please pray for me that I pass..like everyone else I'm feeling this mixed emotions. NCLEX is sooo hard. But i hope i passed.
Hi Hypoxic, I got SATAs like 6 in a row too! I was hoping the computer will give me any "delegation" question cuz that's what i practiced the most. Well there's nothing i can do right now but wait. I hate this waiting game. It's slowly killing me..Thanks for all your support you guys who post on this thread. I really really appreciate it.
Yeah I know, the wait was pretty killer. But try to keep busy and try not to think about it (I know it's going to be hard). But the way things sound, it appears you did well.
4 ever heaven and faithangel, we're in the same boat! i have no idea how i did and i got 75 questions. i feel like maybe i just totally bombed it! YuCk. it's not a good feeling at all.once i find out my results i'll post it but i'm in CA so who knows when that will be.
Pink Scrubs, me too..I'm in California so hopefully it won't take that long. The agony of waiting.....
It's amazing how many people are answering the minimum amount of questions here. The average is 119 according to meds publishing.
The thing that is intimidating about the SATA's is that you can't possibly know every nuance to everything as a new graduate. I feel good about the base knowledge of like, hypo vs. hyperglycemia or hypo vs. hypercalcemia but the likelihood of passing those types of questions is not in a test-taker's favor. I see these practice books with one after the other and it's just draining and time consuming...and the questions are endless.
I'm dreading this test.
Do you think the Lippincott 250 question booklet is good?
hey i just found out i passed the NCLEX. i am so happy but i dont know how i did it. i had 75 questions but i thought the test was hard from the start of question 1. it was hard all throughout the test, so i was really scared and thought i had FAILED for sure. but i prayed to God for a miracle to help me pass this test and Miraculously i passsed! all i can say was God was gracious and helped me pass. i had like 8 SATA, 2 med maths, 1 drag and drop question, and lots of meds questions with no peds and no OB questions. I think NCLEX-RN takers should study priority and infection control, and delegation. those questions come up in every way.

I just wish people that are taking the NCLEX could spell a bit better! I see posts with words like waist instead of waste. Please take the time to review your post, because these silly little mistakes will cost you your license in the real world!
