  1. i decided to take your advice and not say a word. i just closed my door and wowwwww the things accomplished with a closed door!!!
  2. its like im damned if i do damned if i dont!! if i say something im gonna look like a complainer...if i dont its going to continue this way. ughhhh yes the RN still needs to sign off. ....stay tuned. im going to see what happens today. ill be back!!!
  3. i worked for CareOne for 16 years in NJ....wonderdul places!! The corporation is amazing BUT each facility is run very differently and depends on your admin and DON. But, I have find memories of CareO e and have zero bad to say about them
  4. you are amazing....THANK YOU!!!! I spoke with my corp boss and she sees whats hallening and tomorrow she is having a meeting with the admin....crossing my fingers!!! and about delegating...your right!!! alot of this CAN BE delegated!! I'll let you know what happens!!!! Thank you!!!
  5. thats shat i was worried about....them seeing me struggle!! and ive been doing just that picking up at least one or two shifts weekly to help. and my corporate mds boss told me not to that i need to focus on mds's but it was impossible. yes the previos mds girl was new also and she said the same thing, it was too much, but the facility said she wasnt "getting it" ughhhhh. catch 22.
  6. oh my goodness, THANK YOU!!! I most certainly felt like a failure!!! im going to speak with my administrator and ask that while im in my learning phase and taking my courses that they take me OFF the oncall list. i mean im on call 7 days out of the month and when i say i work 80 hours a week i mean it!! its insanity.
  7. im an lpn mds coordinator in MA...my facility has 70 beds....very few medicare and managed care. i head the weekly UR meeting, usually have to take the floor 2-3 times a week because of call outs, attend family meetings careplan meetings etc. i am only 32 hours which they keep track of and do NOT like it when i go over my time. i make 27/hr. which is not bad from what i hear. i am new to the mds world and taking courses now to get my rac ct. my question js HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU MANAGE YOUR TIME???? i can definetley take some tips!!!! im working 7 days a week and my mds's are still behind!!!
  8. 3 days????? OMG! I am on orientation now and let me tell you, i feel like an idiot...i dnt understand a thing, i feel so overwhelmed!!!! i just pray that when i am set free, i will make it. I am going to take forever to do my med pass, i already know this....but omg. i am so scared of failure.
  9. Just observe observe in orientation. They will show you all the paperwork, get to know the charts, patients, etc. Your not expected to know EVERYTHING, since you just graduated. Bring a pad and pen and note things down. When i started i just went over procedures and med administration in my book. but seems everything is so different hands on. just absorb everything around you!! i noticed though alot of the nurses take shortcuts...dont pick up any bad habits. i was told once you start on your own you will find your own routine.
  10. OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG YOU PASSSED 4EVERHEAVEN!!! I AM SOOOOOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!! WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
  11. i havent had any issues finding a job as an LPN, i just passed the NCLEX a few days ago, but even before i took it i was offered jobs. Now I have a few offers on the table, i feel i have a wide variety of choices. I am in NJ, I dont know how it is elsewhere.
  12. hey 4everheaven, i am still waiting to hear!!!! let us know!!!
  13. I dont think anyone really know how they grade this test, my theory is they grade it on HOW you answer...because alot of the questions had 2 right answer and they asked for the BEST answer...i bleive they test you for your critical thinking. i swear, it must be because some of the strightforward med question i know i got wrong for a fact...and the sata's, there is NO way i got those right. and i passed, so i dont get it. lol. you will do fine!!! 4-ever heaven your still waiting??? i have been checking this site everyday to find out!!!
  14. i know a terrible feeling, but i have this feeling your going to be on here screaming you passed.....
  15. let me clarify...during orientation (mine is 3 weeks since i am a recent grad) you are not allowed to give meds, etc, but you learn the paperwork, and daily routines, etc. but hey its a paid orientation while your waiting on your paper license. i just found out i passed today i sure hope it doesnt take 3 weeks to get my license. i thought they said 10 to 15 days.
