Just got home from the NCLEX...

Published

I just got home from the NCLEX. I got 17 SATA, tons of medications question, 2 calculation questions (i know i didn't get the other one correct), and LOTS of priority questions and no delegation. I stopped at 75 questions. I was confident when i walked into the exam room, trying to calm myself because I did prepare for this exam. I studied for 2 months, took the complete Kaplan Review and even signed up for the NCSBN 3-week subscription. I studied >5,000 questions and I thought I am prepared...BUT this exam does surprise in a different level. I came out the exam room crying..driving home, I couldn't stop crying!!! What are the chances that I can pass when I got like 17 SATAs??!! And I feel like i only know maybe like 5 for sure.

Please please pray for me that I pass..like everyone else I'm feeling this mixed emotions. NCLEX is sooo hard. But i hope i passed. :(

i too just got home from nclex.the test was sooo hard,i think its really out of this world.i had 75 questions, with 15 or so SATAs lots of delegation and prioritization.i feel that i'm such a buckethead because it seems that i'm just guessing the whole of the exam.i felt like crying and just want to quit...now i'm scared even more because i have to wait for the results.i'm from the philippines and i dont know when will i get the results.i read that you can get it from the internet through the BON.i'm applying for california.are they going to post my name there?what's the website?i really cant think straight right now.please anyone help me...some words of advice please:bluecry1:!!!!i'm so desperate!!!:sniff:.......:crying2:

how much did u spend on kaplan's online class? what's the ISBN for the saunder's book u use?

i did kaplan's online course and used saunder's Q&A book. i wrote down things i was really weak at and studied my written notes 2 days before taking my test. good luck to everyone who have yet to take it!

what resources did you use to prepare for the nclex? how do you study for questions pertaining to delegation and priority. those questions i find to be the hardest!

hey i just found out i passed the NCLEX. i am so happy but i dont know how i did it. i had 75 questions but i thought the test was hard from the start of question 1. it was hard all throughout the test, so i was really scared and thought i had FAILED for sure. but i prayed to God for a miracle to help me pass this test and Miraculously i passsed! all i can say was God was gracious and helped me pass. i had like 8 SATA, 2 med maths, 1 drag and drop question, and lots of meds questions with no peds and no OB questions. I think NCLEX-RN takers should study priority and infection control, and delegation. those questions come up in every way.

Could you please explane me what SATA means?
